Trip to krakow is right around the corner already, can I start to stress about it ? I’ve failed to stay active in Steemit because of work but there are things I wouldn’t miss because of that. I haven’t done much for the trip, and to be honest @eveuncovered has done most of the arrangements. As in she is nowadays like my personal travel agent. To whom I don’t pay.
We have booked flights, I have ticket to the event it self, roof over my head so what else do I honestly even need? Other than gin and tonic that is...
There has been a few topics of #roadtosteemfest I haven’t had time to write about but I try to summit it all in this one. I’m looking forward to seeing my partner in crime, because we haven’t seen since I moved officially. We have kind a lot of things to talk about! And of course Eve hasn’t seen my new head quarters yet, so need to show her my new hoods.
Shout it out
When it comes to steemfest I try to not stress about too much, even if the stress kinda tries to sneak in. As I said to @soyrosa I still consider Steemit as a magical internet land where to escape. And as @soyrosa said to me, you guys are going to be real for me soon. Lol. I don’t know how to handle it. I like when Steemit is like Narnia to me, filled with weird creatures and you enter to it through magical door called chrome browser.
I look forward meeting new steemians tho. And of course also those I’ve already met like @suesa and @reggaemuffin! It is going to be fun also meet other finns, like @tarazkp and @celestal. Mohawk (aka celestal) I have met several times already, and he is like a little brother to me. We met suesa and muffin last summer at @apsu’s place but because of work (surprise motherfucker) it was just a few hours get together, so it is nice to spend time without that much of a hurry.
Okay I started the name dropping, so why stop now! Of course I want to meet my favorite Mexican @anomadsoul, and no, being the favorite has nothing to do that he is the only Mexican I know...
The man who is making the whole steemfest possible @roelandp would be honor to meet as well as one of my favorite witness @gtg.
I haven’t been around long enough to say anything about sf2, but Eve has told me stories about man and his dog and also they are in the long list of “people I’d like to meet” and a dog as in @pharesim and Juka.
There are a lot people I’d like to meet, who aren’t necessarily coming to steemfest, or at least I don’t know if they are attending. This is why I should have stayed more active. I would know at least who are coming!
But for me it is irl first, at least now. There are several reasons and career isn’t the smallest one. The rest of the reasons, well, those who knows, knows.
The road
As you already know I will be traveling with @eveuncovered and the physical traveling became a lot easier to me when I made the change and moved to the capital of Finland, the airport is near so the hardest and the most annoying part is eliminated from equation, the bus drive from middle Finland to the airport.
Nowadays it takes less than half an hour to go to the airport by train, so no grey hairs anymore because of that. I guess my partner in crime is coming to capital the day before or then we meet at airport, who knows yet. Eve found straight flights for us therefore don’t have to stress about it either.
Or so you’d think.
I’m person who some who can stress about pretty much anything. I’m trying to ignore the fact that I don’t know anyone else other than @eveuncovered. But not like anyone else knows you all either... Being socially a bit awkward makes it, stress I mean. Lately I’ve push my limits quite far, and being tired doesn’t help with these existential crisis.
But at least the crisis isn’t because of work this time around!
