I am convinced that Democrats don't want to win the 2026 Midterm elections. Given all that I've seen so far after the fallout of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Democrats (especially progressives) have no intention of toning down their disgusting rhetoric surrounding it.
This is pushing many "on the fence voters" within the Democratic Party and independents away from Democrats. Democrats have been psychotic lately, and normal everyday people are catching on to it. Not only are they seeing that some Democrats are losing their minds, but they're seeing the hypocrisy and double standards of issues like the removal of Jimmy Kimmel's show. They think it's an attack on Free Speech, meanwhile, they were the ones who supported Donald Trump being banned from every social media platform and defended it because "it's a private business."
Personally, I believe that the average voter is seeing that Democrats aren't as virtuous as they claim to be and many lie to acquire power. Democrats have no real ground to stand on and most of their positions should be taken with a great large spoon of salt.
