Hola, comunidad de Empower Talent

Cuando vi la convocatoria sobre la persistencia, me quedé pensando cuánto se parece a algo que siempre me acompaña: el agua. No estruendosa, no inmediata, sino esa fuerza paciente que sigue y sigue hasta transformarlo todo.

Quise desafiarme a salir de lo habitual y aprovechar esta oportunidad para estrenar un formato que tenía muchas ganas de explorar: el fanzine narrado. Para quienes no lo hayan usado antes, un fanzine es una pequeña publicación artesanal, libre, hecha a mano, donde texto, imagen y textura se combinan para narrar desde un lugar íntimo y auténtico. Me encanta su espíritu porque permite que la idea respire sin necesidad de pulirla en exceso, es literalmente un proceso vivo.

Este es mi primer fanzine narrado. Elegí construirlo como un relato visual de una gota que no se detuvo. No quise hacer una explicación rígida de la persistencia, sino darle una expresión narrativa la gota que nace, avanza, encuentra rocas, insiste, las supera, se transforma y se expande.

Para mí, persistir no siempre es gritar: a veces es simplemente seguir estando.

Agradezco profundamente a la comunidad por abrir estos espacios que nos invitan a explorar y empoderar nuestros talentos (fiel a su nombre). Este ejercicio me permitió materializar una idea que venía postergando y compartirla de forma honesta.

Hoy lo comparto con mucho cariño y respeto.

Espero que Una gota que no se detuvo les inspire a seguir fluyendo en sus propios procesos, incluso cuando todavía parezcan pequeños. Gracias por estar, por proponer y por mirar.

Hello, Empower Talent community

When I saw the call for submissions on persistence, I thought about how much it resembles something that is always with me: water. Not loud, not immediate, but that patient force that keeps going and going until it transforms everything.

I wanted to challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone and take advantage of this opportunity to try out a format I've been eager to explore: the narrative fanzine. For those who haven't used one before, a fanzine is a small, free, handmade publication where text, images, and texture combine to tell a story from an intimate and authentic place. I love its spirit because it allows the idea to breathe without needing to be overly polished; it's literally a living process.

This is my first narrated fanzine. I chose to construct it as a visual story of a drop that did not stop. I did not want to give a rigid explanation of persistence, but rather to give a narrative expression to the drop that is born, moves forward, encounters rocks, persists, overcomes them, transforms, and expands.

For me, persistence isn't always about shouting: sometimes it's simply about continuing to be.

I am deeply grateful to the community for opening up these spaces that invite us to explore and empower our talents (true to its name). This exercise allowed me to materialize an idea that I had been putting off and share it honestly.

Today, I share it with great affection and respect.

I hope that A Drop That Didn't Stop inspires you to keep flowing in your own processes, even when they still seem small. Thank you for being here, for proposing, and for watching.
