Desde el lunes 18 de agosto estoy sin internet en casa. La empresa que me provee el servicio está haciendo reparaciones en mi zona y, aunque me dieron algunos datos en mi línea móvil para conectar los dispositivos, la señal era muy débil.

Así que hoy tomé una decisión distinta: vine al café donde trabaja mi hija y monté mi oficina aquí, entre el aroma del café recién hecho y la compañía silenciosa pero cálida de saberla cerca.

Mientras abría mi computadora y pedía un tostado, me invadió una sensación de gratitud.

Porque tener la libertad de trabajar desde cualquier lugar con acceso a internet es algo que durante mucho tiempo soñé y que hoy es una realidad.

No siempre fue así. Ser freelancer no es fácil, y menos cuando eres extranjera en un país donde llegué con dos niñas pequeñas, sin familia cerca, sin nadie a quien acudir más que a mí misma. Hubo meses en los que apenas alcanzaba para pagar las cuentas y comer lo indispensable. Meses duros, donde muchas veces me pregunté si estaba haciendo lo correcto, si no estaba siendo egoísta por elegir este camino.

Pero en medio de esas dudas, siempre encontré el apoyo silencioso y amoroso de mis hijas

Ellas, aun siendo niñas, nunca me exigieron más de lo que yo podía darles. Se comieron todos los frutos verdes que este árbol producía hasta que, poco a poco, llegaron los frutos maduros que hoy podemos saborear juntas.

Hoy puedo decir que vivo de mi trabajo como creadora de contenido, ofreciendo sesiones virtuales de coaching y desarrollando capacitaciones en línea.

No fue de la noche a la mañana: además de capacitarme en mi profesión, tuve que aprender a manejar las herramientas digitales, a planear estrategias, a emprender con una visión 100% online.

Me tocó equivocarme, probar, ajustar, volver a empezar. Requirió enfoque, disciplina y determinación.

Este estilo de vida que muchos ven como un mito no lo es. No se trata de suerte, ni de esperar a que el universo conspire mágicamente. Se trata de tener claro lo que quieres hacer y estar dispuesto a construir el piso bajo tus propios pies. El momento perfecto nunca llega, porque no existe: el momento perfecto es ahora.

No sigas invirtiendo tu tiempo y tus años trabajando por los sueños de otros. Empieza a trabajar en los tuyos. Si yo pude hacerlo, estoy segura de que tú también puedes. Confía en tus capacidades, en tus talentos, en esas habilidades que te hacen único. Cree en ti y simplemente hazlo. El camino lo vas a ir descubriendo paso a paso, con aciertos, errores y aprendizajes. Since Monday, August 18, I have been without internet at home. The company that provides my service is doing repairs in my area, and although they gave me some data on my mobile line to connect my devices, the signal was very weak.

So today I made a different decision: I came to the café where my daughter works and set up my office here, surrounded by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the quiet but warm company of knowing she is nearby.

As I opened my computer and ordered a toast, I was overcome with a feeling of gratitude.

Because having the freedom to work from anywhere with internet access is something I dreamed of for a long time and is now a reality.

It wasn't always like this. Being a freelancer isn't easy, especially when you're a foreigner in a country where I arrived with two young children, no family nearby, and no one to turn to but myself. There were months when I could barely pay the bills and eat the bare minimum. Those were tough months, when I often wondered if I was doing the right thing, if I wasn't being selfish by choosing this path.

But in the midst of those doubts, I always found the silent and loving support of my daughters

Even as children, they never demanded more than I could give them. They ate all the unripe fruit that this tree produced until, little by little, the ripe fruit arrived that we can now enjoy together.

Today, I can say that I make a living from my work as a content creator, offering virtual coaching sessions and developing online training courses.

It didn't happen overnight: in addition to training in my profession, I had to learn how to use digital tools, plan strategies, and start a business with a 100% online vision.

I had to make mistakes, try things out, adjust, and start over. It required focus, discipline, and determination

This lifestyle that many see as a myth is not one. It is not about luck, nor about waiting for the universe to magically conspire. It is about being clear about what you want to do and being willing to build the foundation under your own feet. The perfect moment never comes, because it does not exist: the perfect moment is now.

Don't keep investing your time and years working for other people's dreams. Start working on your own. If I could do it, I'm sure you can too. Trust in your abilities, your talents, those skills that make you unique. Believe in yourself and just do it. You'll discover the path step by step, with successes, mistakes, and lessons learned. But the most important thing is to add your own magic, because it's that spark that transforms a dream into reality.
