Días sin estar por acá, porque como les he comentado en ocasiones anteriores, estoy pasando por un período en el que he estado poco tiempo en casa y me ha sido prácticamente imposible retomar mis post diarios. Igual acá seguimos haciendo ese intento, y es que me hace mucha falta poder ir soltando un poco de mis pensamientos y mi esencia por acá.♥ Hoy como tomamos el día "libre" me he ido organizando con el contenido pendiente para volver al ritmo, que espero poder mantener a partir de ahora. Ya veremos como se van dando las cosas. Quería compartirles un trabajo que hice hace un par de meses, como muestra para uno de los talleres que estuve dictando en mi centro artístico. Se trata de arte con textura, que aunque parezca sencillo, requiere su técnica. Así que acompáñenme al paso a paso.Hello Guys!
Days without being here, because as I have told you on previous occasions, I am going through a period in which I have been little time at home and it has been practically impossible for me to resume my daily posts. Anyway, here we continue making that attempt, and I really need to be able to let go a little of my thoughts and my essence around here. Today as we took the day “off” I've been organizing myself with the pending content to return to the rhythm, which I hope to be able to maintain from now on. We'll see how things go. I wanted to share with you a work I did a couple of months ago, as a sample for one of the workshops I was teaching at my art center. It's about textured art, which although it seems simple, it requires technique. So join me in the step by step.
El material que se usa para esta técnica es papel sanitario, así que me preparé con mi rollito e hice el dibujo de base.
Luego preparé el materiales de textura que no es más que papel, pega y pintura.
The material used for this technique is toilet paper, so I prepared my roll and made the base drawing.
Then I prepared the texture material which is nothing more than paper, glue and paint.
Fui trabajando color por color, iniciando con el color más claro, que en este caso sería el blanco.
Apliqué la mezcla sobre la superficie y ejercí presión con la punta de un pincel. Así fui cubriendo pétalo por pétalo.
I worked color by color, starting with the lightest color, which in this case would be white.
I applied the mixture on the surface and applied pressure with the tip of a brush. This way I covered petal by petal.
Una vez lista la parte blanca rellené el centro amarillo y coloqué un poco de naranja para hacerle un borde.
Luego pasé a la parte del fondo el cual pinté con azul celeste.
Once the white part was ready, I filled in the yellow center and put some orange to make a border.
Then I moved on to the background which I painted with light blue.
Así, luego de un par de horas terminé de hacer mi obra. Es algo que como les comenté en un principio. se ve sencillo, pero que lleva su tiempo y dedicación para lograr un resultado parejo y con una textura ideal.
Yo disfruté un montón el hacerlo y sé que ustedes también lo harán cuando lo intenten.
So, after a couple of hours I finished my work. It is something that, as I told you at the beginning, looks simple, but it takes time and dedication to achieve an even result with an ideal texture.
I enjoyed doing it a lot and I know you will too when you try it.
Se demora unas cuantas horas en secar pero una vez está queda hermoso y ligero. Se puede colgar fácilmente en cualquier pared o tenerlo como decoración de escritorio, dependiendo del tamaño en el que se realice.

It takes a few hours to dry but once it is done it is beautiful and light. You can easily hang it on any wall or have it as a desk decoration, depending on the size you make it.
