¡Hola Chicos!
El pasado viernes estuvimos celebrando el cumpleaños número 13 de mi hijo Enrique. Es chistoso pero a la vez un poco trágico que siempre que nos toca celebrar su cumpleaños ocurre algo, bien sea en casa, a nivel del país o como este año, que estuvimos con todo lo que representó una mudanza al nuevo local, lo que nos hizo quedarnos sin recursos antes de su cumpleaños, entorpeciendo un poco la celebración. A pesar de todo siempre procuramos hacer especial su día con los recursos que tengamos en el momento y este año logramos celebrar su cumpleaños dos días, primero nosotros en casa comienzo pizza y al día siguiente en el local junto a mis hermanitos. Como les comenté en post anteriores, ellos llegaron a Venezuela a finales del mes de Julio y desde entonces hemos podido compartir en varias ocasiones con ellos. Aunque no tanto como me gustaría porque con todo el tema de la mudanza no he tenido casi tiempo para poder atenderlos y ellos suelen ir los días que a mi me toca dar clases y estoy full ocupada. Pero esta vez era diferente porque estábamos en el local solamente para acomodar y limpiar algunas cosas que aún faltaban y celebrar el cumpleaños de mi hijo.Hello, everyone!
Last Friday, we celebrated my son Enrique's 13th birthday. It's funny but also a little tragic that whenever we celebrate his birthday, something happens, whether at home, at the national level, or like this year, when we were in the midst of moving to new premises, which left us without resources before his birthday, putting a bit of a damper on the celebration. Despite everything, we always try to make his day special with the resources we have at the time, and this year we managed to celebrate his birthday twice, first at home with pizza and the next day at the new place with my little brothers. As I mentioned in previous posts, they arrived in Venezuela at the end of July, and since then we have been able to spend time with them on several occasions. Although not as much as I would like because with all the moving, I haven't had much time to spend with them, and they usually come on the days when I have to teach and am very busy. But this time was different because we were at the shop just to tidy up and clean a few things that still needed doing and to celebrate my son's birthday.
No teníamos muchos recursos ese día pero con lo que tenía en la nevera le hice su desayuno y almuerzo especial, y ya para la noche uno de sus tíos le envió para que se comprar una pizza.
Encontramos un combo súper chévere que salía en 20$ y sin pensarlo fuimos a comprarlo.
Eran dos pizzas familiares más un refresco de litro. La pizzas eran de jamón y queso y de adicionales pedimos una de maíz y otra con tocineta. Estaba demasiado espectaculares y nos rindió para guardar unos trozos para el desayuno.
We didn't have many resources that day, but with what I had in the fridge, I made him a special breakfast and lunch, and by nighttime, one of his uncles sent him out to buy a pizza.
We found a great combo deal for $20 and didn't think twice about buying it.
It was two family-size pizzas plus a liter of soda. The pizzas were ham and cheese, and we ordered an extra one with corn and another with bacon. They were spectacular, and we even had enough left over to save a few slices for breakfast.
Al día siguiente estuvimos limpiando durante la mañana y parte de la tarde el local, esperando a mis hermanitos con su mamá que los iba a llevar. Llovió y esto entorpeció un poco el plan, no pudieron llegar tan temprano como se quería.
A pesar de esto lograron llegar y pudimos comer unos tequeños que llevó su mamá, refresco y torta que hice ese mismo día en la mañana antes de salir.
The next day, we spent the morning and part of the afternoon cleaning the place, waiting for my little brothers and their mom, who was going to bring them over. It rained, which disrupted our plans a bit, and they couldn't arrive as early as we had hoped.
Despite this, they managed to arrive, and we were able to eat some tequeños that their mom brought, along with soda and cake that I had made that same morning before leaving.
De ahí nos fuimos al rato al parque para que jugaran un poco antes de venirnos a casa. Ellos se divirtieron un montón los minutitos que logramos estar ahí compartiendo.
Fue una velada súper rápida, pero pudieron estar presentes por primera vez en un cumpleaños de mi hijo. Estos son recuerdos que atesoraremos todos en nuestros corazones. ♥
From there, we went to the park for a while so they could play a little before coming home. They had a lot of fun during the few minutes we managed to spend there together.
It was a very quick visit, but they were able to attend my son's birthday party for the first time. These are memories that we will all treasure in our hearts. ♥
