¡Hola Chicos!
Continuamos con el relato de lo que fue el plan vacacional que hicimos en nuestro centro artístico a mediados del mes de agosto. Para el cuarto día el plan era trabajar con Picasso y se me ocurrió que los chicos hicieran máscaras con base de cartón. Esto les daría la suficiente libertad como para lograr algo genial. Me tocó recolectar días antes varias cajas de cartón para que ellos solo tuvieran que ocuparse de diseñar y posteriormente pintar sus máscaras. Para este día no tocaba salir tan temprano de casa porque aunque había pautado una clase en horas de la mañana, las alumnas me notificaron que no podrían asistir, así que nos relajamos un poco y salimos luego del almuerzo.Hello, everyone!
We continue with the story of the vacation plan we made at our art center in mid-August. For the fourth day, the plan was to work with Picasso, and I thought it would be a good idea for the kids to make cardboard masks. This would give them enough freedom to create something great. I had to collect several cardboard boxes a few days beforehand so that they would only have to worry about designing and then painting their masks. We didn't have to leave home so early that day because, although I had scheduled a class in the morning, the students notified me that they would not be able to attend, so we relaxed a bit and left after lunch.
Este día apenas llegaron los chicos se pusieron manos a la obra. Teníamos de acompañante para este día una pequeña que anteriormente había participado en uno de nuestros talleres, que era súper rápida haciendo su actividad.
Por otro lado una de las niñas había dejado la noche estrellada a medias y aprovechaba todos los días de adelantar un poco. Así estuvo durante esos 3 día siguientes y luego se dedicaba a la actividad del día.
As soon as the children arrived that day, they got down to work. We had a little girl accompanying us that day who had previously participated in one of our workshops, and she was super quick at doing her activity.
On the other hand, one of the girls had left the starry night half done and took advantage of every day to get a little ahead. She did this for the next three days and then devoted herself to the activity of the day.
Luego de tener las bases hechas le agregaron color a sus máscaras y pegaron todos sus elementos. Esta parte fue bien divertida porque ellos apreciaban parte del resultado y se entusiasmaban.
Con la pequeña veloz estábamos ya por la segunda actividad pautada para el día.
After making the bases, they added color to their masks and glued all the elements together. This part was really fun because they could see part of the result and got excited.
With the little speedster, we were already on to the second activity scheduled for the day.
Los chicos lograron unas máscaras hermosas y únicas. Cada uno les dio su toque e hizo el momento mágico. Aprovechamos para grabar un video que en mis redes lo podrán encontrar. ♥

Solo 3 de los pequeños lograron avanzar y terminar la segunda actividad del día, la cual trataba de las guitarras de Picasso, algo emblemático del artista.
Ese día estuvo lleno de recortes y mucho color y todos la pasamos genial. En un próximo post les contaré el quinto y último día del plan vacacional, por ahora me despido y espero se hayan disfrutado este pequeño recorrido por una gran aventura que vivimos durante esa semana.
Only three of the little ones managed to move forward and finish the second activity of the day, which was about Picasso's guitars, something emblematic of the artist.
That day was full of cutouts and lots of color, and we all had a great time. In a future post, I'll tell you about the fifth and final day of the vacation plan. For now, I'll say goodbye and hope you enjoyed this little tour of the great adventure we had during that week.
