¡Hola Chicos!
Hace algunos días que estuvimos trabajando en las reparaciones y acondicionamiento del local, le dije a mi esposo para que fuéramos a disfrutar de unos ricos helados. De estos les he hablado en ocasiones anteriores ya que quedan cerca del local y he comido con mi hijo. No había tenido la oportunidad de comer acá con mi esposo por eso era un momento súper especial para nosotros como familia. Yo no puedo comer muchos lácteos por el problemita que tengo de cálculos, pero este era un momento especial y se merecía algo igual. Antes de ir dimos una caminata por la orilla del lago de Maracaibo, de la cual les estaré hablando en un próximo post. ♥Hello, everyone!
A few days ago, we were working on repairs and renovations at the store, so I suggested to my husband that we go out for some delicious ice cream. I've mentioned this place before, as it's close to the store and I've eaten there with my son. I hadn't had the opportunity to eat there with my husband, so it was a very special moment for us as a family. I can't eat a lot of dairy products because of my kidney stones, but this was a special occasion and deserved something special. Before going, we took a walk along the shore of Lake Maracaibo, which I'll tell you about in a future post. ♥
El negocio se llama Tiko Helado Riko, y forma parte de un restaurant llamado Veintiuno y es como su área de postres. Lo chévere es que no es necesario que entres a sus instalaciones para poder disfrutar de un helado porque tiene una barra externa donde puedes ser atendido.
En tamaños hay muchos pero yo iba con la idea de comprar un vaso para disfrutar con mi esposo y a nuestro hijo le iba a comprar una barquilla.
The business is called Tiko Helado Riko, and it's part of a restaurant called Veintiuno, serving as its dessert area. The cool thing is that you don't have to go inside to enjoy an ice cream because it has an outdoor counter where you can be served.
There are many sizes, but I went with the idea of buying a cup to enjoy with my husband and a cone for our son.
Hay muchos toppings de los cuales escoger uno por lo menos para el vaso que iba a pedir para mi esposo y para mi. Me decidí por un helado combinado de fresa con chocolate y lo acompañé con un topping de M&m ♥
Mi hijo por otro lado quiso experimentar con un sabor nuevo de chicle. La verdad es que no me gusta ese sabor, pues años atrás lo había probado en otras heladerías, pero mi hijo no, así que lo dejé probar, pues a lo mejor a él si le gustaba.
There are many toppings to choose from, at least one for the cup I was going to order for my husband and me. I decided on a strawberry and chocolate ice cream combination and topped it with M&Ms ♥
My son, on the other hand, wanted to try a new flavor of bubble gum. I don't really like that flavor, as I had tried it years ago at other ice cream shops, but my son didn't, so I let him try it, thinking that maybe he would like it.
Una vez cancelado el pedido la chica se dispuso a servir, primero le hicieron entrega de la barquilla azul a mi hijo, quien probó el helado y le gustó. Y luego me dieron el vasito que compartiría con mi esposo.
Los helados estaba más suave de lo que deberían pero aún así los disfrutamos un montón, sobre todo porque nos encontrábamos bastante acalorados y nos ayudó a minimizar un poco esto. Fue un lindo momento, que aunque no tenemos una foto familiar, lo recordaremos por siempre ♥
Once the order was canceled, the girl got ready to serve us. First, they gave the blue cup to my son, who tried the ice cream and liked it. Then they gave me the cup that I would share with my husband.
The ice cream was softer than it should have been, but we still enjoyed it a lot, especially because we were quite hot and it helped us cool down a little. It was a lovely moment, and even though we don't have a family photo, we will remember it forever ♥
