Hello everyone. Warm greetings to you all. I hope you're doing well and feeling inspired. It’s always a joy to be part of Hive Open Mic, and I’m so grateful to share in this amazing space once again for Week 267. Being among this creative and supportive Hive family truly means a lot to me.
This week’s theme is “Fragrance” and for my entry, I chose to cover a powerful worship song by Dunsin Oyekan titled “First It Was Fragrance.”
This song speaks deeply to my spirit. It reminds me of how worship starts as a sincere offering to God like a sweet fragrance rising up and then becomes something even greater. When God receives it, it turns into fire, a symbol of His presence, power, and response to our devotion.
The way the song builds musically is so moving. It draws you into a place of awe and surrender, and for me, it's more than just a song. it’s an experience, a moment of deep connection with God.
I pray this piece blesses you as much as it has blessed me. Thank you for listening, and may your week be filled with the sweet fragrance of worship and a renewed sense of God’s presence.
