Probando las colas de langosta (Sfogliatella) | #FoodieMood | Esp-Eng

Recuerdo que una vez estando en la casa de una amiga, su hermana hizo un comentario relacionado con un delivery de *colas de langosta*, y la verdad que en ese momento solo pude pensar en el crustáceo. Me sorprendió que hablaran de este producto en plural, ya que la langosta es algo bastante costoso; también se me hizo muy extraño que hubiera un restaurante en la zona que brindara ese servicio porque no hay muchos sitios que ofrezcan la venta de langosta, aunque vivo en una zona costera. Posteriormente, cuando hablaron de los rellenos de las colas de langosta como chocolate o crema pastelera, pude entender que hablaban de un postre. En ese momento no me interesé por ahondar sobre qué tipo de postre hablaban y cómo tuvieron un problema con la entrega; ese día no pude saber de qué se trataba. Con el pasar del tiempo y el mayor auge de la promoción de las *colas de langosta* en la zona, pues mi curiosidad al respecto fue en aumento. Constantemente aparecían en mi Instagram las colas de langosta de un lugar donde expenden postres, y ellas están dentro de sus especialidades; sin embargo, me parecían un producto muy costoso, esto debido al gran tamaño de la cola de langosta que venden en este lugar. Me tocaba buscar opciones más económicas, aunque no tuvieran el gran tamaño de la cola de langosta que había visto en las redes. >I remember once when I was at a friend's house, her sister made a comment about a delivery of lobster tails, and honestly, at that moment, all I could think about was the crustacean. I was surprised that they were talking about this product in the plural, since lobster is quite expensive. Later, when they talked about lobster tail fillings such as chocolate or pastry cream, I realized they were talking about a dessert. >At that moment, I wasn't interested in delving into what kind of dessert they were talking about and how they had a problem with the delivery; that day, I couldn't figure out what it was about. As time went by and the promotion of lobster tails in the area boomed, my curiosity about it grew. Lobster tails from a place that sells desserts constantly appeared on my Instagram, and they are one of their specialties; however, they seemed like a very expensive product to me, due to the large size of the lobster tails they sell there. I had to look for cheaper options, even if they weren't as big as the lobster tails I had seen on social media. Su respuesta fue afirmativa, pero me dijo que solo las hacían bajo pedido. Al preguntarle por el precio, me dijo que no estaba segura del precio porque no era su área de trabajo; quedó en darme el precio, así lo hizo y les cuento que fue un precio bastante accesible. Una vez cancelado mi pedido, fui a retirarlo en la panadería. Me lo entregaron, es una linda caja y no se imaginan la emoción que sentí cuando abrí este dulce paquete. Pedí seis unidades para compartir en familia y aproveché para agasajar a una prima que se encontraba de visita en mi casa, a quien no veía desde hacía mucho tiempo. >I remembered that a colleague from the choir works in a bakery, so I thought of asking him if they offered lobster tails at the bakery where he works. His answer was yes, but he told me that they only made them to order. When I asked him about the price, he said he wasn't sure because it wasn't his area of expertise, but he promised to let me know, and he did. I can tell you that it was quite affordable. >Once I had paid for my order, I went to pick it up at the bakery. They handed it to me in a pretty box, and you can't imagine how excited I was when I opened this sweet package. I ordered six to share with my family and took the opportunity to treat a cousin who was visiting my house, whom I hadn't seen in a long time.  El sabor de las colas de langosta es exquisito; elegí crema de chocolate con avellanas como relleno y me sorprendió gratamente la cantidad de crema que poseía cada cola de langosta. La masa es bastante crujiente y, aunque se asemeja al hojaldre, es mucho más crocante y la delgada capa de azúcar pulverizada le provee más elegancia al postre. Este postre es de origen italiano y se le conoce como *sfogliatella* y el relleno tradicional es de ricotta, pero aquí en Venezuela los rellenos que ofrecen son crema pastelera, crema de chocolate con avellanas y pistacho. Hay que recordar que muchas veces una receta viene a ser una adaptación al gusto de los consumidores de determinada zona y los productos que son más populares. >The taste of lobster tails is exquisite; I chose chocolate hazelnut cream as the filling and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of cream each lobster tail contained. The traditional filling is ricotta, but here in Venezuela, the fillings offered are pastry cream, chocolate hazelnut cream, and pistachio. It is important to remember that recipes are often adapted to the tastes of consumers in a particular area and to the products that are most popular.
