Before I say anything, I should warn you that this review contains spoilers. This documentary is so well presented and has such incredible twists and turns that you won't be able to stop watching it... at least that's what happened to me. To be honest, when it was recommended to me, I expected it to be like so many others about real crimes. However, this documentary was totally different. The truth behind that unknown number leaves you stunned. It's incredible!

Este documental está tan bien presentado y nos muestra unos giros tan increíbles que no vas a poder dejar de verlo… al menos eso me sucedió a mí. La verdad es que cuando me lo recomendaron me esperaba uno como tantos sobre crímenes reales. Sin embargo, este documental fue totalmente distinto. La verdad detrás de ese número desconocido te deja estupefacto. ¡Es increíble!
The history takes place in a small town in Michigan, United States, and begins when a fourteen-year-old girl and her boyfriend start receiving intimidating, humiliating, and hateful text messages that escalate in aggressiveness to impressive levels. Lauryn Licari and Owen McKenny received up to 50 text messages a day from different unknown numbers, but it was the same person. This went on for over a year! The psychological consequences were devastating for both of them and even led to the breakup of their relationship, yet the messages did not stop.

The parents, desperate about the situation, went to the school authorities, because certain details made it clear that the messages were being sent by someone who knew them. They conducted an investigation among their classmates, but it yielded no results. No one knew who it could be, and everyone suspected everyone else. Finally, they went to the police. The use of a special application to generate random phone numbers prevented them from blocking the senders and made the police's work difficult. They questioned everyone, especially certain boys who were rumored to be suspects. Because of this, the accused teenagers suffered greatly. As I said before, the psychological consequences for everyone were devastating, and one wonders how such a thing could have happened.

Ultimately, the police were unable to find the person responsible for the messages, which had become so aggressive and vulgar that even adults found them repulsive to read. They had even gone so far as to tell Lauryn to kill herself! It's the most terrifying thing that can happen to your child. The kids were clearly suffering greatly. In the end, the case was referred to the FBI, whose cybercrime team managed to trace the numbers to an IP address that matched Lauryn Licari's home address. During the police search, the teenager's mother, Kendra Licari, admitted to being the author of the messages. The confession deeply upset the family and everyone involved in this history. And, truthfully, it has disturbed everyone who has seen it because, how can one imagine that the young woman's own mother was the one harassing her, considering the aggressiveness of her messages and the hatred in them.
