Celebrando el día de todos los santos [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos! Hoy 1ero de noviembre también se celebra en Polonia el día de todos los santos, así que como es costumbre y después del desayuno, Pawel, Olivia y yo nos fuimos al cementerio a visitar la tumba de mi suegra, quien partió justo un mes después del nacimiento de nuestra hija y aunque por supuesto Olivia no se acuerda de ella, igualmente nosotros como padres en casa le fomentamos el cariño hacia sus abuelos, incluyendo a esos que ya no nos acompañan pero que siempre vamos a recordar. > Hello, everyone! Today, November 1, is also All Saints' Day in Poland, so as is customary, after breakfast, Pawel, Olivia, and I went to the cemetery to visit the grave of my mother-in-law, who passed away just one month after the birth of our daughter. Although Olivia does not remember her, of course, we as parents encourage her to love her grandparents, including those who are no longer with us but whom we will always remember.  También visitamos la tumba de los papás de mi suegra, y los papás de sus padres, es decir, la tumba de los abuelos y bisabuelos maternos de mi esposo Pawel, y como ven en las fotos, muchos polacos también estaban allí siguiendo esta tradición, me refiero a visitar las tumbas y ponerles velas y flores, aunque algunos lo hacen unos días antes (pues vimos a varias personas camino al cementario ayer y antier) pero la mayoría se concentra en el cementerio el 1ero de noviembre. >We also visited the graves of my mother-in-law's parents and her parents' parents, that is, the graves of my husband Pawel's maternal grandparents and great-grandparents. As you can see in the photos, many Poles were also there following this tradition, which involves visiting the graves and placing candles and flowers on them, although some do so a few days earlier (as we saw several people on their way to the cemetery yesterday and the day before), but most people gather at the cemetery on November 1.    Supongo que algunos también van antes para aprovechar de limpiar las tumbas o quizá son esos que no les gusta la aglomeración, en el caso de mi suegro fue ayer para limpiar la tumba y hoy le llevó velas y flores a su amada esposa, y Olivia estaba muy encantada con estas últimas y es que este año ella sí entró con nosotros al cementario y ayudó a su papá a poner las velas encima de la tumba de su abuela. >I suppose some people also go early to take advantage of cleaning the graves, or perhaps they are those who don't like crowds. In the case of my father-in-law, he went yesterday to clean the grave and today he brought candles and flowers to his beloved wife. Olivia was very delighted with the flowers, because this year she did come with us to the cemetery and helped her dad put the candles on her grandmother's grave.    A mi parecer, siento que este año estaban vendiendo afuera del cementerio más cosas que el anterior, especialmente velas y flores, pero también comida (como quesos, papas, chorizos), juguetes para los niños, dulces y postres, entre otras cosas, pero lo mejor es que el clima fue perfecto para nosotros pues la verdad es que estuvo muy fresco para ir caminando hasta allí ya que el tranvía estaba lleno de gente. >In my opinion, I feel that this year they were selling more things outside the cemetery than last year, especially candles and flowers, but also food (such as cheese, potatoes, sausages), toys for children, sweets, and desserts, among other things. But the best thing was that the weather was perfect for us because it was actually too cold to walk there since the tram was full of people.    Y aunque no soy polaca, la verdad es que yo también amo seguir esta tradición cada año, pues no solo es un día para llevar flores y velas a las tumbas de los que ya no nos acompañan, también es un día para reunirse en familia y compartir un lindo momentos juntos, mientras recordamos que estamos vivos y a nuestros seres queridos, también es un día que me da mucha curiosidad porque en mi país no lo celebramos de esta manera o no que yo recuerde pero ahora en mi familia siempre lo haremos. >And although I am not Polish, the truth is that I also love to follow this tradition every year, because it's not only a day to bring flowers and candles to the graves of those who are no longer with us, it's also a day to get together with family and share beautiful moments together, while remembering that we are alive and remembering our loved ones. It's also a day that makes me very curious because in my country we don't celebrate it this way, or at least not that I can remember, but now my family will always do so.
