June dessert “churro with ice cream” / El postre de Junio "churro con helado" [Eng-Esp]

Greetings dear readers today I give life and love to my blog 💓 presenting a pleasant outing I made on June 1st, a Sunday that was for me very pleasant, discovering that when it comes to tastings I can be very convincing.

On this day after my Biodanza class my classmates made me the proposal to go to lunch, sharing that they do some Sundays, outside of any home situation, which I have rarely been able to attend, sometimes because of the need to go to rest and also to save.

But for this occasion I decided to go with them to share other spaces where we inevitably share our anecdotes painted of different situations that speak of personalities, experiences and tastes.

For lunch we organized ourselves and went to a cozy Chinese restaurant where there were combos that were cheap and with a very good attention. Then we decided to go for dessert, one of my favorite things to do when it comes to sharing with friends. That's how I proposed to go to a shopping mall where I go on Wednesdays when I go to teach my Biodanza class.

The times I arrive early before class I walk around the mall, and once I saw the MONKEY CONOS ice cream shop that seemed curious because of its name and some desserts with particular characteristics, I thought at some point I would stop by and taste them.

And the moment arrived, I made the proposal to my companions to walk from the restaurant where we ate to the shopping center that was removed from where they parked their cars, I was pleasantly surprised by their willingness, allowing me to lead them walking to the place, which helped us to digest and go chatting nicely enjoying the landscape of Caracas and our stories on the way.

When they arrived they were delighted and even more when they saw the menu between sweet and savory appetizers, but the one I suggested and the one I had my eye on, was a different ice cream than many of the ones I have eaten and the one I came to try after so many times and tell me soon I will come to know.

This dessert was an ice cream with churros, which to the imagination one thinks they are the typical fried flour sticks with sugar glaze or liquid chocolate, but in this case it is not so, it is a sandwinch made of round churro with ice cream, plus arequipe syrup, chocolate or condensed milk “you choose”.

I felt I was in one of my best moments of the week, first for having convinced a group of friends a little more adult than me, who decided to come and share with me one of my best pleasures “ice cream”, and second because I was giving myself a great pleasure that I feel I also deserved for what I had achieved during these last times of important changes.

I ordered my churro sandwich with a scoop of brownie ice cream and arequipe syrup, needless to say that the mix of flavors is glorious, certainly the churro arrives a little warm because they make it at the time but this does not take away the crunchiness and taste that is consuming this dessert.

The truth is that there are a lot of calories in this small piece, but since I don't suffer from sugar or anything like it, I declare myself a fan of this dessert that I will enjoy again some other time alone or with another bunch of friends.

En este día después de mi clase de Biodanza mis compañeras me hicieron la propuestas para ir a almorzar, compartir que hacen algunos domingos, fuera de toda situación hogareña, a los que muy poco he podido asistir, en ocasiones por necesidad de ir a descansar y también ahorrar.

Pero para esta ocasión decidí ir con ellas para compartir otros espacios donde inevitablemente compartimos nuestras anécdotas pintadas de diversas situaciones que hablan de personalidades, experiencias y gustos.

Para almorzar nos organizamos y fuimos a un acogedor restaurante chino donde habían combos que estaban económicos y con una muy buena atención. Después decidimos ir a buscar el postre una de mis partes favoritas cuando se trata de ir a compartir entre amigas. Fue así como les propuse ir a un centro comercial por donde paso los miércoles cuando voy a dar mi clase de Biodanza. Las veces que llego temprano antes de dar la clase me paseo por ese centro comercial, fue así como una vez vi la heladería MONKEY CONOS que me pareció curiosa por su nombre y algunos postres con características particulares, pensado en algún momento pasar y detenerme a degustar. Y el momento llegó, a mis compañeras les hice la propuestas para irnos caminando desde el restaurant donde comimos hasta el centro comercial que quedaba retirado de donde aparcaron sus carros, gratamente me sorprendió su disposición, permitiéndome dirigirlas caminando hasta el lugar, cosa que nos sirvió para hacer la digestión e ir conversando de lo lindo disfrutando del paisaje caraqueño y nuestros cuentos de camino.

Al llegar quedaron encantadas y más cuando vieron la carta entre aperitivos dulces y saldos, pero el que les sugerí y el que yo le había puesto el ojo, era un ejemplar de helado diferente a mucho de los que he comido y por el que vine a probar después de tantas veces pasar y decirme pronto vendré a conocer. Este postre se trató de un helado con churros, que a la imaginación uno piensa que son los típicos palitos de harina frita con glaseado de azúcar o chocolate líquido, pero en este caso no es así, se trata de un sandwinch hecho a base de churro redondo con helado, más el sirope de arquipe, chocolate o leche condesada “tu escoges”.

Yo me sentí en uno de mis mejores momentos de la semana, primero por haber convencido a un grupo de amigas un poco más adulta que yo, quienes decidieron venir a compartir conmigo uno de mis mejores placeres “helados”, y segundo porque me estaba dando un gran gusto que siento también me merecía por lo logrado durante estos últimos tiempos de importantes cambios. Mi sandwinch de churro lo pedí con una bola de helado de Brownie y sirope de arequipe, de más está decir que la mezcla de sabores es gloriosa, ciertamente el churro llega un poco tibio pues lo hacen al momento pero esto no le quita lo crujiente y gustoso que resulta consumir este postre. La verdad son muchas calorías presente en este pequeño ejemplar, pero como no sufro de azúcar ni nada que se le parezca, me declaro fans de este postre que volveré a degustar en alguno otro momento sola o con otra patota de amigas.
