Nikolsky Pogost was both pleased with the presence of dugouts and disappointed. One location could not be reached because of a loudly barking dog near the cellars. It's night, and I'm used to not disturbing the residents with my presence.
In the second location, the dugouts are chaotic and, as has become customary, on the hillside. Or rather, by the road leading to the Kubena River.
It's nice when you don't have to look for cellars and they stand right next to the road.
But on the other hand, it is always better when vegetable storages are located separately from the village, from the residential sector, and not mixed with it.
It's more convenient for everyone.: I don't disturb the residents with my presence, and I feel safer that no one will disturb me.
And when nothing distracts, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the place one hundred percent.
...Lately, I have very rarely come across places where the cellars have disappeared or are badly destroyed and on the verge of disappearing.
This is because the further away from the regional center, the higher the degree of safety of the dugouts, since in the villages in the hinterland people still use them to store crops.
