The Nesvoyskoye estate is located on the banks of the Vologda River in the Vologda region, near the village of Ostakhovo. The road there is of average quality, there are signs. But not everything is so clear.

Yes, there is a manor house in the distance on the other shore...which I haven't even found information about. A new building, or what?

A suspension bridge leads to the other bank.

I think if I don't get to the manor, then at least I'll photograph the bridge for the collection, and the manor itself from afar.

Everything is overgrown, the bridge itself is extremely flimsy and it is very scary to walk on it.

The views are beautiful...but not at the manor.

After the bridge there is a steep staircase that rests... against a solid metal fence.

The second part of the staircase leads to some kind of house, apparently left over from the former village.

I was so disappointed that I didn't shoot anything except graphic views of the river through thickets of young trees.

It was not possible to get into the manor...

It turns out that this is not a historical site, but some kind of private institution.

I've wanted to visit for a long time, but I've become convinced once again that this area, this side, without exception, is faceless, boring and non-atmospheric.

The checkmark is set, the code is written with the words "do not go here anymore."

On the way back, I looked at the villages of the Hydroelectric Power Station and the Creamery – I highlighted "do not drive" in bold.
