I've known Mhei since high school, and she's one of my closest friends. She is always welcome in our group and I am in her circle; even though we belong to separate groups of friends, we nevertheless make an effort to get together sometimes. When I informed her I was returning home, she was overjoyed because most of her childhood acquaintances didn't live in the area. She wanted to see me when I arrived, but I told her I was in need of rest because I was exhausted from traveling, so we agreed on a coffee date on my day off.
She told me she would pick me up after my family and I went to church so we would have time to talk. We headed to a coffee shop where we used to hang out because there are only two coffee shops in town. We chose this location to support one of our friends who owned a portion of the the coffee shop, since we all believe in supporting local businesses. When we walked in, I was impressed because they had renovated it; it was more wider than before, and they had added additional tables and new chairs, which was very great. They also started selling products to customers who wanted to buy shirts or coffee beans. As we approached the counter, I observed that they had retained the personnel from my prior visit to this cafรฉ last year, which is incredible.
I bought a Toffee Latte Iced and Mhei ordered a Caramel Macchiato hot; she insisted on getting a sandwich even though I was uncertain, so I asked her to select first, and she chose Burger overload because it came with fries and I simply got the ham and cheese. I was surprised to see that they also provide fresh juices, which is what most thrills me. The inside is warm, with a cheerful staff and great, not-too-loud music, so paying attention and listening to your friend while talking is not difficult. I've gone to coffee places with loud music, which irritates me because the purpose of drinking coffee in peace is ruined. lol
We had a fantastic time catching up, and we have a meeting arranged for my day off, which is excellent since I need to cherish it more than I do in the city, where I seldom go out. After we finished our coffee, I thanked the staff for their assistance and commended the owner for making an effort to improve the establishment. Following that, we went for a walk to get our steps up. lol
