Addictions are like invisible chains, at the beginning it may seem good and nice but along the way it swallows you and and becomes your master. A man may know who he is, he may even see the light of redemption ahead, yet the weight of guilt and the chains of bondage of his old vomits hold him down. He feels lost between the hope of freedom and the fear of falling again.
Addictions whispers how unworthy you are, how filthy you are seeking to pull you down but those words are just lies to make you feel guilty and keep enslaving you. Still, within this storm lies the truth: every stumble does not erase the chance for healing. Even in the darkest struggle, there is always a door open for redemption no matter how many times you fall; remember that.
