The times are here again, Very interesting times for the objective and the dispassionate. But from all indications, we really have learnt nothing. The political jobbers, men of multiple morality and double speak, Specialists in prostitution of talent and foul language are back on the block. Political sycophancy is at an unprecedented high. Even the educated, the supposed eggheads and avuncular alchemists, have regrettably become social media street urchins, New media hawks and Jackals who stalk walls to pummel and clubber the stoic and the resilient - any who dare resist the herds mentality or immunity against Stockholm Syndrome. The self-appointed messiahs are in their trenches, pulling the puppet strings, while their gullible retinue are busy manufacturing and hauling bile-wrenching and destructive verbal ballistic missiles, poisonous invectives, corrosive expletives and incurable dark verbiage at each other. By the time the dusts settle and the political battle fought and won, friends will be lost and enemies made. For what? Lord please, give us understanding, Grant us a humane leader not a despotic ruler; A leader with abundant milk of human kindness. We have suffered enough, We care less where he comes from or his mode of worship. May the harbingers of doom be put to shame. May the purveyors of hatred be disgraced. May your children, the Nigerian populace, smile again. May your will be done. Amen.
