Hey great web3 vibers. It's my first time dropping a post here this year (perhaps the first ever). I was very impressed when I read the post by @lordbutterfly giving writers the chance to add to the quality vibes this community is known for. While reading that particular post I became enthusiastic seeing the possibility of becoming an active member of the community (some of us here might have been following from a distance all this while).
Now to my review: Having gone through the posts of the contesters for this week, I'll like to comment on that of @ellacentric
My review is outlined based on the following qualities:
Originality While listening to her cover, I noticed the originality of her presentation. One could feel the freshness of her delivery of the song. She was herself while singing without any make up drama. Someone hearing the song for the first time would think she's the original composer of the song.
Creativity Another key quality to point out was her creativity. She didn't just give out the song as plain as it was originally sang. Her voice was topnotch, and her riffs were smooth and effortless. One could feel the riff and transition of vocals as they came out in smooth succession. Her vocal tone pierces the soul.
Body composure Personally, gestures resonate with me, and she did that well too. Her rhythmic hand gestures and slight body movements helped drive the vibe of the song while listening to her cover. Her composure while singing makes it easy for some of her listeners to connect with her. Her wordings too were clear enough to comprehend - plus the subtitles were well timed with her voice.
Positioning Another commendable thing I'll like to point out is the video positioning. Her face was well lit and properly covered by the camera making it easy to follow her vocal gestures. She wasn't too far neither was she too near to the camera.
Simplicity She was simple - without having to show off her mic and other gadgets. This I think will encourage others who has always thought they need a full studio before they can show others how much creativity they have.
I think my personal observations are OK though others might have differing views.
