Hello dear Hive users, I hope everyone is well and that everything is going smoothly in your lives. At least for myself, I can say that everything is progressing as it should, following its routine course. Recently, I read an article about the blessings in our routine lives, and until then, I hadn't really thought about what that meant until I started reflecting on it. Now, as I write this post, I've had a chance to think about it some more. Sometimes we get so bored with the stagnation of life that we crave new excitement, but of course, this excitement doesn't always develop in a good way in our lives. That's when we realize the value of routine. Unfortunately, we only understand the value of things once they are gone. I think I've realized this in the course of the events that have unfolded in my life in recent years. That's why, when I get tired of shuttling between school and home these days, I thank God for it and motivate myself to keep going with thoughts like, “What if I didn't have a job or school to go to? What if I was too sick to go to school?” I take what I need to keep going and move on. Today, I wanted to share a post from one of those days. A few photos and some nice, funny memories from an activity we did with my students in class.

At the beginning of our activity, everyone had to cut out a piece of paper from a page in their book and glue it together to form a cube shape.

Of course, we managed to make this cube, which looks simple but requires a lot of effort for my students, in 20 minutes. I say we managed, but don't be fooled—except for two of my students, the others unfortunately ended up with shapes that looked more like something else than a cube :)

So, I decided to do a group activity with the shapes that most resembled cubes, thus making the game more crowded by including the whole class in this game that should be played in pairs. Of course, this has both disadvantages and advantages.

First of all, the biggest disadvantage is that class control unfortunately becomes more difficult because they all want to come to the board, turn the cube, and ask their chosen friend a question. As a result, voices like “Teacher, teacher, please choose me” become very loud in the classroom.

As for the advantages: since the whole class is together, it's both funnier and more enjoyable, and I can check whether all the students understand the topic and if there are any gaps in their knowledge. I guess this is one of the different aspects of being a teacher: while my students think we are just playing a simple game, I am determining whether they have studied the subject and giving them the necessary warnings. At the end of the lesson and the game, after nicely warning the students who were lacking and saying the necessary words, I left the classroom both tired and smiling and went straight to the teachers' room to drink my coffee. :)

Merhaba sevgili Hive kullanıcıları umarım herkes iyidir ve hayatlarınızda her şey yolunda ilerliyordur. En azından kendim için diyebilirim ki her şey olması gerektiği gibi rutin seyrinde ilerliyor. Geçenlerde rutin hayatımızdaki nimettir diye bir yazı okumuştum ki o ana kadar bunun ne anlama geldiğiyle ilgilenmemiştim üstünde düşünene kadar. Şimdi bu postu yazarken biraz daha düşünme fırsatım oldu. Bazen hayatın durağanlığı içinde o kadar sıkılırız ki yeni heyecanlar isteriz tabi bu heyecan her zaman iyi anlamda da gelişmez hayatımızda. İşte o zaman rutinin değerini anlarız. Her şeyi değeri zaten elimizden gidince anlaşılır maaleef. Ben de son yıllarda hayatımda gelişen olaylar seyrinde bunun farkına vardığımı düşünüyorum. Bu yüzden de şu aralar okul-ev arasında mekik dokumaktan yorulduğumda buna da şükür ''ya gideceğim bir iş-okul olmasaydı , ya okula gidemeyecek kadar hasta olsaydım ne olurdu.'' , gibi düşüncelerle kendimi hayata karşı motive edip devam etmek için gerekli olanları alıp yoluma bakıyorum. İşte size o günlerden bir post paylaşmak istedim bugün de . Öğrencilerimle sınıfta yapmış olduğumuz bir etkinlikten birkaç fotoğraf ve güzel, komik anılar.

Etkinliğimizin başında herkes kitabındaki bir sayfada bulunan kağıdı kesip yapıştırarak zar-küp şeklin getirmeleri gerekiyor.

Tabi biz bu basit görülen ama öğrencilerim için zor bir uğraş gerektiren küpü 20 dakikanın sonunda yapabildik. Yapabildik diyorum ama bakmayın 2 öğrencim hariç diğerlerinin ki maalesef küpten çok başka şeylere benziyorlardı:)

Bu yüzden en çok küpe benzeyen şekillle ortak bir etkinlik yapmaya karar verdim ki böylece ikili oynanması gereken oyuna bütün sınıfı dahil ederek daha kalabalık hale getirdim. Bunun tabi hem dezavantajları hem de avantajları var .

Öncelikle en büyük dezavantajı :sınıf hakimiyeti maalesefdaha zorlaşıyor çünkü hepsi tahtaya gelip küpü çevirip seçtiği arkadaşına soru sormak istiyor. Hal böyle olunca sınıfta :''öğretmenim, öğretmenim beni şeçin nolur '' , gibi sesler fazlasıyla yükseliyor.

Avantajına gelecek olursak da : bütün sınıf birlikte olduğu için hem daha komik,eğlenceli oluyor hem de bütün öğrencilerin konuyu anlayıp anlamadığını keilme eksiği olup olmadığını kontrol edebiliyorum . Öğretmen olmanın sanırım değişik yanlarından biri de bu , öğrencilerim sadece basit bir oyun oynadığımızı düşünürken ben onların konuya çalışıp çaışmadığını tespit edip gerekli uyarıları yapıyorum. Ki dersin ve oyunun sonunda da eksiği olan öğrenileri güzelce uyarıp gerekli sözleri söyledikten sonra hem yorgun hem gülümser halde sınıftan çıkıp doğruca öğretmenler odasına kahvemi içmeye gittim. :)
