Humans love applause, they enjoy it when you celebrate them. I think it makes them feel like they are the very best, they are usually happy when applauded and they feel otherwise when they are not.
Applause is good, most especially when you decide the it. It is also not good to be deprived of your applause after doing something right. But applause should not be seen as our major goal in life, if we do, we might be constantly disappointed because people cannot be predicted.
When you are not applauded, you will feel bad. It looks as if you were robbed of your most prized possession. This is why seeking applause is not good, you might be disappointed. You should not force or buy applause, it will be of no value. Let the applause be genuine and do not expect it every now and down, let it catch you unawares, it is usually fun then.
