Graphite study of the lips

Hello Friends, Today i did a quick study of the mouth my main focus was the lips to bring out the texture of the lips make feel like something in front of you. For a while I've have several plan to do this which is study some parts of the body. So in my exploration i decided to start with the lips. My study was done on an A4 paper using a 10B Bianyo pencil at the start it was something it felt like i was missing something.

I did a warm edit of this image just to see the look.

In making this drawing or any drawing are alway steps and things to observe . Let me work you down the steps of my drawing, at first i started with a sketch to get the lay out of what im about to draw before i went in with my big gun which was my 10B Bianyo pencil. I just love the texture of this pencil although i dont get all the depth i want but i can say for sure it does the job just right. Sorry i got carried away while making this drawing i couldn't get enough steps it was just for study i guess that is why. I shaded the upper lips and then inside the mouth to the lower lips not i always shade in a pattern of left to right to avoid smudging. I concluded the shading and did my final touches on the lips and you can see the out come. I've wanted to do for a while but seeing it now i think I've done justice to it to the best of my ability so tell me what you think..
