Hello friends, how are you all? I hope everyone is fine. Today I made a Halloween keychain which has a ghost and a pumpkin. Besides making it, I have also shared its tutorial with all of you. 🎃

Materials You’ll Need

To make this Halloween keychain, we need 4 colors of yarn – white, orange, blue, and green. I used a 2.5 mm crochet hook, but you can also use a 2 mm hook. For the eyes, I used my old black earrings.

Let’s Start With the Ghost’s Hat

First, I made the ghost’s hat. To make it, take orange yarn and make a magic ring, then make 4 single crochets in it. In the 2nd row, make 1 single crochet and 1 increase. In the 3rd row, make single crochet in all stitches. In the 4th row, make 1 single crochet and 1 increase. In the 5th row, again make single crochet in all stitches. In the 6th row, the pattern is (1 single crochet, 1 increase, 1 single crochet) — repeat this pattern in all stitches. Now in row 7, make single crochet in all stitches. In row 8, make 3 single crochet and 1 increase. In row 9, again make single crochet in all stitches. In row 10, make (2 single crochet, 1 increase, 2 single crochet). In row 11, make 5 single crochet and 1 increase. In row 12, make (3 single crochet, 1 increase, 3 single crochet). Now in row 13, change the color and make single crochet in all stitches. In row 14, make 3 single crochet and 1 increase. In row 15, make single crochet in all stitches. Now again take orange yarn, and in row 16, make 1 single crochet and 1 increase in all stitches. In row 17, make increase in every stitch. The hat is ready. 🎩

Making the Pumpkin

Now I made the pumpkin. First, make 13 chains. In row 1, follow this pattern: (1 slip stitch, 1 single crochet, 8 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, 1 slip stitch). In row 2, do the same pattern, and repeat this same pattern till row 20. Then, join both sides, and close the bottom part. Now from the top, fill it with cotton, and then close the top part too. Now take green yarn to make the leaf. To make it, create a magic ring and make 4 single crochet in it. In row 2, make 1 single crochet and 1 increase. In rows 3 and 4, make single crochet in all stitches. Now in row 5, make 11 chains, skip the first chain, and in the rest, make increases. In row 4 again, make increases in all stitches. Then attach this leaf to the pumpkin, and your pumpkin is ready. 🍊🍃

Creating the Ghost

Now start making the ghost. Make a magic ring and 6 single crochets in it. In row 2, make increase in all stitches. In row 3, make (1 single crochet, 1 increase). In row 4, make (1 single crochet, 1 increase, 1 single crochet). In row 5, make 3 single crochet and 1 increase. In row 6, make (2 single crochet, 1 increase, 2 single crochet). Now rows 7–14, make single crochet in all stitches. In row 8, make (8 single crochet, 1 increase). In row 16, make single crochet in all stitches. In row 17, make 9 single crochet and 1 increase. In row 18, make single crochet in all stitches. Now in back loops, make 19 single crochet and 1 decrease. In row 20, make 2 single crochet and 1 decrease. Now fill with cotton, and in row 21, make 1 single crochet and 1 decrease. In row 22, make decrease in all stitches, then close it using a needle. Now in row 19, where we worked in back loops, work on front loops by making (1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet) in every stitch.

Finishing Touches

Now glue the eyes on the ghost, apply blush, and glue the hat on the ghost.

Final result

And my cute little Halloween theme keychain or toy is ready! 🎃👻 You can use it as decoration, or if you want to use it as a keychain, just attach a keychain ring. 🔑
