"No! Because I wanted to see, how much he loved me. But seriously he broke my heart today. "
Haleena said this to her friend while was she on a call with her. She was married to Jimmy for 5 years, but they had no children. But still nothing changed between them and they were living happily together. But somehow Jimmy forgot their wedding anniversary and went to his office. Haleena got hurt, as she didn't expect this from Jimmy who loved her more than anything.
They got married after passing through many hurdles, as their parents did not agree to their marriage, but they argued with their families to get their permission. They were living a peaceful life, but somehow Jimmy forgot their anniversary, which was unbearable for Haleena.
"Can we go for lunch?" Her friend asked her.
Haleena agreed, as she thought it better to have some time with her bestie, instead of surrounding herself with negative thoughts.
"Yes! Why not! I am just coming." She replied.
She got ready and went to her friend. They enjoyed the meal in their favorite restaurant and after doing some shopping, Haleena asked her friend to drop her at the stop, so she could hire a taxi.
"Why you are leaving so early? I mean, what you would do being alone at home? Stay at my place until your husband is at his work."
Haleena wanted to go, but her friend insisted she stay, so she agreed. She stayed at her place for three more hours as she was single and living alone in an apartment. They spent a lot of quality time together gossiping and remembering their old university days.
At 4 pm, Haleena left her house and came back home. When she entered her house, she realized the presence of someone in the room. She immediately opened the door and got shocked as Jimmy was standing there, with a bouquet and cake.
"Happy anniversary my love! I am lucky to have you in my life."
"Omg! Jimmy! Did you remember?"
"How could I forget?"
"Now get ready, as we are going for dinner."
"Seriously?"
"Yes, my love!"
Haleena was happy to hear this. She wore a beautiful dress and they set off for dinner. On the way, Jimmy bought beautiful flowers for Haleena. Soon they were at the restaurant, which they were used to coming at. Jimmy had made a reservation in a private table, which was beautifully decorated. Haleena was pleased to see this.
"OMG! Jimmy this is so beautiful! I am lucky to have you."
"Anything for you my love! I just want to see you happy forever."
As soon as they sat at the table, Jimmy gave Haleena a beautiful diamond ring as an anniversary gift. Her happiness was immeasurable at the moment as her eyes were full of tears of joy. She was feeling bad in her heart for making negative remarks about her husband to her friend in the morning.
"I was wrong! He still loves me more than anything." She thought in her mind.
Just then waiter came to serve the dinner. Haleena was happy to see her favorite food on the table. But as soon as they were about to eat it, they heard a loud siren. Just then everyone started to run outside.
There was a great noise and a state of commotion in the restaurant. Haleena and Jimmy also ran towards the door. Just then, Haleena slipped and fell on the floor. Jimmy was out of his senses to see Haleena in this state.
"Haleena! Haleena! Are you okay?"
He helped her to get up, but she was unable to stand as her ankle was badly hurt. She was crying with pain, Jimmy held her up and stepped towards the door. But as soon as they were out, the manager announced in a mike that there was nothing to fret about as the alarm was triggered by the pet. Hearing this everyone was at ease, but Jimmy was worried about Haleena.
He hired a taxi and reached the hospital. They went into the emergency room. Doctors took the x-ray of her ankle and informed her that it was just a minor injury and that she would be better soon. After getting the treatment, although Haleena was feeling better. But their dinner was spoiled by the false alarm.
