In this collection, my goal was to capture natural, effortless moments of Fatima, and I have to say, it didn’t go quite as expected, but in the best way possible.
At first, Fatima was a bit shy in front of the camera. She kept adjusting her hands, aware that the camera was on her. But as soon as she found herself among the white roses, something changed. She relaxed, lay down among the flowers, and a sincere smile spread across her face. It was then I realized no further direction was needed.
The main challenge of this shoot was working with natural light and keeping the details in the shadows. In such an environment, I used a simple silver reflector to balance the exposure. This choice was crucial to highlight the depth of her expressions while keeping the authenticity and simplicity intact.
In some of the shots, Fatima effortlessly touched her hair or looked into the camera, but none of these movements diminished her natural grace. This ease and authenticity is what makes the moment so special.
On that day of shooting, the sky was filled with soft gray clouds, slowly drifting across the horizon. A chilly breeze from the mountains swept through the surroundings, but with each gust, the fresh and crisp air of nature seemed to fill the space. Every moment spent capturing the scene felt like the entire atmosphere — from the gentle light to the moving clouds — was imparting a sense of tranquility to the images. In that cold, cloudy air, nothing felt as peaceful as those simple, unposed moments.
What made this set special for me, beyond the visual beauty, was the trust and comfort Fatima had in front of the camera. Photographing her reminded me of the importance of always approaching every subject with softness and respect—not as a model, but as a real person.
