Stumbling on the topic for today, is what I have been thinking about on several occasions. It's timely and that's the present day challenge that we have found ourselves. I want to specially appreciate the entire management and we the participants for our devotion and dedication to the noble course of what is happening here. Truly of recent times my horizon and perspective of things have been upgraded to another dimension due to the variety of themes we have considered.
For this particular edition of week 190 it came with another challenge which says business mindset. The world is gradually metamorphosing to a business umpire. There's no doubt about this except one doesn't see it from the lenses of reality that has befallen us today. It's quite disheartening to say that virtually everything today is tilted towards business and not just that but the unfortunate thing remains the fact that everyone or several people want to make huge profit and build fame.

As it was captured in the brief write up about the theme, many organizations and facilities we have today are majorly driven towards money making. I don't know about other countries but for my own here in Nigeria, is the order of the day. Most hospitals today are not designed to proffer solution to the sick again instead how much can I make from this service? I think the priority of an individual shouldn't be for how much to make first but what best can I offered? How would you just start up a school and you want to start making gains anyhow? What about the destiny of these children? What would become of them?
I was wondering within myself would I ever become a minister of education in my country? Or perhaps other sectors like Heath, security etc? Hmmm if I suddenly emerged as one of these top sectors head, I wouldn't hesitate to shut down lots of organizations and companies that don't satisfy the human needs rather just syphoning resources from the poor masses. I lamented over the weekend when I saw almost just five to six bedroom flat called a clinic. The facility wasn't good enough at all. No light and the security is porous. This is not to cater for the growth of humanity instead you would know that is a money making venture. People with such low standard facilities shouldn't be allowed to be regarded as clinics.
I saw three flat building with a capture an international school attached to it's original name. Personally I can't afford to bring my kids to such school for any reason because that can't be called a school. Don't establish a school because you feel parents would bring money and you would use it to make more money. It's high time prioprietors would redefined their mind and pursue what would add more value to humanity than just concentrate on how much I can make from here. That's why many schools can't pay their staff salaries promptly. Think of service please and money will come. I know we have bad leadership system but there are still good things we can practice.
Where are those days where people teach passionately? Where are those days that people fall in love with their profession and not just how much they can get?
Let's change our mind and not turn everything to business especially most worship centers today instead of linking people to God they end up seeking for pie note from people.
