One of the fundamental thing I noticed that is basic in our time is the matter of leadership. I'm sure thee are lots of books written concerning this and theories. Infact, some people even picked it as a course but yet there is no full implementation and manifestation of what true leadership entails. Leadership isn't just a name or a portfolio but it constitutes a lot of things. In this post, I would like to share some three secrets that are basic for a sustainable leadership in the present time. If the leadership system can be properly addressed, sincerely the world would have become a better place for us.
Leadership is entails taking responsibility by carrying people from where they are to a better place. There is a clear cut to where people are. It could be a particular condition, rough experience, bad situation or negative thing. Leadership is a process of removing or moving an individual or people from such state to a better place where their lives would be improved. I am quite sure this is not what is being practiced in today's system of leadership. There are lots of challenges that confronts the kind of leadership being exhibited today hence the need to dig through some secrets that would facilitate in having a wonderful and outstanding leadership system. Follow me as I share these tips.
One of the cardinal thing I normally consider once it comes to leadership is vision or purpose. If a leader doesn't have a concrete grip of the exact assignment or place where he is going then he would carry the followers on a wrong vehicle. The first thing every leader must identify and understand is what is the vision, what's the objective or goal of what I am doing? Let there be clarity of purpose. A blind man can't carry another man because both will fall into ditch.
Another secret that I don't take for granted is letting the people understand or know the vision. I can call this alignment of vision. This entails the capacity to make the people understand where you are going. Communicating the vision to the followers. Ensure that the followers know the vision, own the vision so that they can run with it without any pressure. Most leaders failed in this area.
The third leadership secret that I would like to share is what I call accomplishments. When the vision is properly known and communicated, the next thing you would expect is achievement. Many leaders are result oriented but how to bring their followers to understand the vision and align with it is always a challenge.
