It's been a cloudy and rainy day here but we thank God for everything because this is the season for it. How is the weather from your own end at this moment?
Stewardship is a virtue that is gradually losing relevance in our world. Many organizations and individuals look after personalities that can be trusted with something.
After meditating over and over I discovered that one of the serious things that we must be intentional in reviving in our generation is the power and the significance of stewardship. This is a virtue that can open doors to many closed opportunities that can't be gotten by mere hands. In this post, I would like to share some tips that would enable one to develop a good steward virtue and I would share some life experiences.
The first thing I would like to share is what I tagged Accountability. This is one of the virtues that every steward must possess to have a competitive advantage over others. Accountability entails being sincere, honest and open up to people. Being a man of your words and absolute integrity. When a man is faithful in little, more shall be added to such. The way to the top starts from the bottom. When you're not good at giving a report and broken, it would be hard to be a good steward. Have the capacity to manage resources.
There's a lady I had the privilege to work with for a few years. She has many other responsibilities in her local assembly. She was occupying almost more than three viable positions but yet she displays good accountability to her fellow team members. She was able to account for every detail of what happened financially. I was shocked when someone testified how the food stuff she used in preparing meals for a particular event. The salt, Maggie and other things remained and she still brought out and told the entire team how she used it. This is a true picture of accountability.
Another virtue i considered so much from my heart is to be faithful and committed to the law. Faithfulness can't be overemphasized. This doesn't negate the fact that one must think and dream big however it's good to be faithful in whatever is committed into your hands. I had the privilege to be a course representative for a couple of years. All through my time of service, I ensured that I was transparent and faithful to whatever I do.
In my third year, I handed over to another person.
Stewardship is a good virtue that every human being needs to make more impacts.
