Ki There’s something special about the feel of a physical book, the weight in your hands, the scent of paper, the quiet rustle of pages turning, it makes me feel smart especially when peoplr see me reading it. In a world where screens dominate almost every moment of our day, picking up a book has become something very difficult to do, in fact most school have now digitized their text book.

Now, reading isnt just about thr weight of the book or thr tab on your palm. Reading not only broadens the mind but also nurtures focus, creativity, and imagination. Whether it’s fiction that transports you to another world or nonfiction that deepens your understanding of life, a consistent reading habit has the power to shape thoughts and perspectives in remarkable ways.

I have read so many books, both digital books and the hard copy books. As time goes on, i have come to l have come to prefer reading books on my smart device. The reason is because i can take it wherever I want.

I do have a mini shelf on my room where all the books i have read are kept and the ones I am about to read but as time went by and technology increases I have prefer to read more on my smart device.

My reading habit is something I am proud of, I cant count how many books i have read, and the sad part is i dont do book review, meanwhile there is a community for that on hive. Probably because I do it for fun or when i finish reading, i start to look for the next book.

I have a reading community I joined on whatsapp and it has helped me a lot because there are always target to reach and when we do our book review or talk about what we learn, it always fun and we get to learn from different perspectives. My dad is also a reader and he was the one who motivated the habit of reading me. It was one who made me know the author like Kenneth hagin, Bishop David and many others. I have their hard copy, the book shelf idea was from my dad because I saw one in his room. I did wrote about my book shelf a long time ago, the post is somewhere around on hive.

Here is the current book I am reading. Man searchs for meaning by Viktor E Frankl.

I just started it and the book holds a lot of powerful meaning, specially in the area of psychology. It helps shapen the mind. Although I am not done with it. Reading has truly become a part of who I am, a quiet companion through different stages of life. I knownwhen to read normal books, or when to read manhwa or manga, they are books too you know. Whether it’s flipping through the pages of a hard copy or scrolling through an e-book on my device, what matters most is the knowledge, inspiration, and reflection that each story brings. My journey as a reader has been shaped by family influence, technology, and community, and it continues to evolve with every new book I open. For me, reading isn’t just a habit, it’s a lifestyle, a source of growth, and a doorway into countless worlds waiting to be explored.

Thanks for reading. My name is fashtioluwa.
