Hive, I have come to understand that hive isnt just a place to create content, it is a place to engage, relate and create new bonds of friendship. Some months ago, if not a year now, I remember when @jjmusa2004 introduced someone to me, a newbie on hive and he was like
“Yo Fash, I want you to meet someone. He is new on hive and I want you to help me guide him”
And he went on to drop the responsibility of guiding a newbie on Hive. I was a little pissed because I have got so many people I’m guiding already, so why drop another person on me. Little did I know he just threw a rare gem at me.
I met with this person and his name turned out to be Mike with the username @mandrelmykels

We started chatting, and I discovered he was living thousands of kilometers away from me. If I was to visit him by road, I would spend a day and some hours on the road. One thing I love about Mike was that he was reason to learn and do his own research. He made guiding him looks so easy, he would always ask questions I could answer and anything that looks new to him, he would ask to be clarified after testing it.
I later discovered we had same passion for podcast and talk shows. I told him about a podcast show I wanted to start on Hive and the same way I guided him on things on Hive, he guided me on things I should know about podcast because he has been doing it for a long time. I got premium class on podcasts without paying. He was the first guest I had on my show and it was amazing.

Meanwhile, all this time we haven’t met in person. There was a time he told me he would be traveling to my city because he wanted to get married to a girl from my city and I was happy because I was going to meet not just someone I was guiding on Hive but someone who has become a friend and a brother from just communicating through the platform Hive gave to us.
The first time he came, I was unable to meet him, but trust me, he came the second time to finally take his girl home and I wasn’t going to miss such opportunity. I met with Mike and other Hivers like @justfavour and @treasuree
It was my first time meeting both Mike and Favour, we had a lot of discussions and lots of laughs. It was like we have known each other for a long time because we had a lot to discuss, we have been together online and now that we are meeting in person, it wasn’t strange. I was just happy to see handsome and beautiful people on Hive. It felt like a little #hivefest

After the meeting, we all went our separate way but it didn’t end there, Mike was getting married to Faith and I wasn’t going to miss that wedding for anything since it was taking place in my city. The wedding was on Saturday, that was like a week ago, so I went to Mike location on Friday so I don’t come late to the wedding. The location was quite far and I was moving out of my city to a new place. I met with Mike and it was wedding O’clock.

I had so much fun that day, I ate two different kind of food, I started with the Jollof Rice mixed with Fried rice and a huge beef, then got pounded yam with Efo soup and a big fish and beef. I was unable to finish the beef, forgot how small my stomach was and it made me sad. I should have just taken the beef home.
Anyways, that’s not the point, I was happy to make a friend and a brother here on Hive, and now I feel like I’m now part of his family. I meet with his sisters, uncle and one thing that made me very happy was that, Mike already told his family good things about me and it made me very happy.
His sister was like
“Oh, you’re Fashtioluwa from Hive. Thank you so much for all you did”
I also met an amazing person too that day. Ok, a day before the wedding @hadasah she’s extremely amazing and it’s sad I didn’t get to take a picture with her.
I was very happy and feeling on top of the world, but I won’t take all the praise alone. So thank you Hive for bringing such a wonderful person into my life. Congratulations @mandrelmykels God bless you and your new home.
