The name of the manhwa is "Ordeal," and this is not like the regular manhwa where the protagonist gets reincarnated in another life, or gets a system that helps them level up. Ordeal is a whole different kind of manhwa, and what makes it interesting is the backstory of each of the characters in the manhwa. You might get to like a particular character aside from the main character, and one thing about the manhwa that makes it very good is the art style and drawing.
Ordeal is the story about Prince Chu, a regular guy without any chi or talent. Now, you see chi is like the bullet you have, while talent is the gun; the more chi you have, the more you can use your talent. People with chi and talent are known as Kimyo.
The story started with Prince Chu, who was a boxer. Now, Prince Chu wasn't just boxing in a regular ring; he was boxing in a ring where Kimyo fights, and someone without talent, how will he manage to pull off a win? This was what many people were worried about, but each time, he wins, but not without sustaining so much injury.
Anytime Prince Chu fights, you would see a smile on his face, and this is because he has faith in the fighting skills his master taught him. His master, who was one of the god tier in the country, was Lord Leo. He owns a dojo training center where he trains kids like Chu to become better fighters, but Chu was the only one without talent. The god tier are people with the talent that can wipe out a state, and they are very much respected.
It would surprise you how a man who was full of love and smiles when fighting turns to someone with one of the greatest talents and the biggest chi in the whole of the manhwa. No, he wasn't overpowered, but he was one of the best things in the manhwa.
After Chu discovered his background and what led to the death of his parent, why his master loved him, and the mysterious recurrence in his life, things took a different turn. His master, "Leo," passed down his talent to Chu. In Ordeal, talent can be passed or transferred to the same bloodline if it wasn't transferred upon the death of the talent holder.
Prince Chu had one of the most destructive talents, but due to his background, he was constantly attacked, and the people he held as family kept getting killed, even though he possessed the power to protect them.
Many times, he wasn't always at the right place, where he was needed. There was a time his sister was under attack twice, while he was trying to help other people, but his own blood was attacked, and slowly, the good and happy prince started turning into the thing people fear, both the good and bad ones.
The truth is that Prince Chu has suffered so many losses. The manhwa is still ongoing, and I think if you haven't read it, this is your time to catch up on peak manhwa. I can bet anything that you would love it. The story is amazing, the art style and drawing are different from what you casually see in manhwa, and the character development... It makes me feel like I was reading Naruto again.
Lastly, let me give you a sniplet that might interest you, ther was a point Chu was fighting on earth, and his attack went all the way to the moon and split it. I am sure you might want to read it now. hehehe.
