Togetherness in kitchen -Gulab Jamun time.

Hi everyone. Today I have come up with the new and very simple recipe of making gulab jamun. It was not only me who made this Gulab Jamun but also it was my sister and my mother who help me in that. It was my first time trying the gulab jamun by my own so I took a little help from my sister and my mother and they taught me very well and I am pretty sure that if I am asked to make it alone I will make it even better than this time. And also I thought that I should give some rest to paint work or I should stop posting paint for one or two days even though I can't stop that because I am literally loving the paint on my wooden things like elephant and three wheeler but today is little bit different because I am going to post something about food. Before making the gulab jamun I was thinking that it is very hard to make it at home but when I try it I was literally shocked because it was really simple to make only we have to focus on the correct measurements if there is correct measurement then nobody can stop us to make the perfect Gulab Jamun at home.

Let's start it.


FOR MAKING THE BALLS. Milk powder 400g Wheat flour 4tsp Eggs 4 Cooking oil 12tsp Baking powder 2tsp Baking soda 1pinch


FOR THE SUGAR SYRUP Sugar 8cup Water 6cup Cinnamon 7-8 pieces Zafroon( if have)


First i have make the sugar syrup. For that i have added 6 cups of 8 cups of sugar. And some cinnamon in that. I have boiled it until all the sugar melts. For the checking whether it is cooked or not i have put the small amount of sugar syrup on my finger and checked whether it is sticky or not. If yes means its cooked if not then have to cook it for few more minutes.

The sugar syrup is ready.

Here are some of the pics of the ingredients which i have used.

First i broke the two eggs.

Then after that i have filled 2 cups of milk powder in the cup and removed the excess powder from the cup.

After that i have added oil in the two cups of milk powder. I didn't use the whole 400g milk at one time instead of that i have used it two times. So that's why i have divided everything into half half.

Two tablespoon of wheat flour I have added in my better after adding all of the ingredients like egg and oil.

After the wheat flour I have added the 1tsp of baking powder also.

After mixing it very well and kneading it. My sister my mother and I have made the small bowls for the gulab jamun of the medium size not very small not very large.

After making the balls i have added it into the oil.

I have fried it until it gets brownish black.

Then i have took these out of the oil and put them in the sugar syrup. Here it's ready to eat.

It was super yummy and the key point for making this was that not to make the sugar syrup to diluteded Ore too much concentrated. And one more thing is when we are trying the gulab jamun we have to make sure that we should not use the spoon for shaking it old for mixing because if we use it as starting point all the gulab jamun will break and it will spread in the whole oil. So we have to use the sides of the pot to shake it and we have to keep the flame very low so it can cook from inside also if we use the high flame it will not be cooked from inside it will be just brown from outside so we have to keep that also in our mind. So these are the very small tips that we have to keep in our mind while cooking them.
