It's me, hi, I'm Fatsieeee

I'm off work, and there's nothing to do. So, I have decided to find ways to kill time. Let's start a blog, then. But, first, an introduction. ***  If you were to search for an image of a thirty-something, cat-loving, book-worming, coffee-drinking woman who decided relationships are pointless and that no one will stay, my picture would turn up. ## A Dash of Ink My first love was art. I learned to draw way before I learned to write my name. I'd remember all the things I'd see and draw them on any sheet of paper I'd find. But then I discovered I suck at it, which led me to finding my second, and true love: writing. It was a happy coincidence. My ninth grade English teacher turned my homework, which was a theme writing composition, to another teacher who was looking for someone that he could enter in a writing contest. Long story short, I won that contest, and thus began my on-again, off-again relationship with words. ***  ## Seaside Beaches and sunsets were recently discovered therapies. I live close to the sea, that's why I'm used to it, and also probably the reason why I have never noticed how great the sound of waves can heal whatever loneliness and pain one feels, not until I felt the same loneliness and pain. It was the first place I ran to when my heart was breaking into a thousand pieces, and it was the place I kept coming back to whenever I need a reset. ***  ## Caffeinated Coffee is my fuel and my medicine. A day without it would be a catastrophe: I would not be able to function, I will not able to make rational decisions, and my emotions will no longer be in check. Just one cup and I will be okay. Yes, I know I have a problem. *** ## A Teacher's Life I have been teaching for about 12 years. I honestly don't know how I got here, where in fact my greatest dream was to become a broadcast journalist. I guess destiny has a funny way of making itself known, and maybe that's why it led me into a very unfamiliar territory which eventually I came to love. It always warms my heart whenever I have former students come back and tell me that I have made an impact on them. That alone is worth more than any salary or monetary gain ( but of course, we still need that green stuff, wouldn't lie about it). ***  ## Traveller Yarn? Because of certain life-changing events recently, I suddenly have a lot of time on my hands. With nothing else to do, I have decided to at least get out of town once in a while. I wasn't able to do it previously because of certain obligations, so i'm trying to make up for lost time. Revenge travel, you may call it. In six short months I was able to go to five places, one was even out of the country. It's drained my savings, but what the hell, it made me happier. I needed that. ***  ## Bibliophile? If there's one interest or hobby that I would want to restore, it would be reading. My college days were spent with me either in the school library reading Sidney Sheldon novels or on my bed at home reading either the latest Harry Potter release or any Dan Brown book. I can read an average of one book per day, and when the last Harry Potter book was released, I only read it for a total of 16 hours, including an unneccesary three-hour break because I needed to go to class (if you have seen that book, you would know how thick that is). *** ## Eargasm Music is something that is a big part of my life. I'm Filipino, it's in our DNA. So eventhough I have a terrible singing voice, I still sing at karaoke parties. I'm into any musical genre, but I prefer rock. I'm also into KPop! I'm a huge 2Ne1 fan (CL, my queen, my life is yours), also a big BlackPink fan (Jisoo is my bias) but I'm also somewhat into twice (Momo stan here). *** So there, I hope I have given you a peek into my complicated life. Hope we can be friends here and learn more about this new world.
