They feel that it is either they win and the other person losses or vice versa. In a short term , that might work absolutely fine , but then in the long run, it leaves a lot of scars. As time goes by , relationship becomes so heavy as trust is being taken away. But if we can try to look at this in a better way, a situation whereby both parties goes home very happy, feeling very good. Achieving this might not be easy , but then it changes every thing. ![priscilla-du-preez-ELnxUDFs6ec-unsplash.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmTmEauYbPiPJhbqpYF7nAhHx2K7GjFuz1MwQcCs1wW1My/priscilla-du-preez-ELnxUDFs6ec-unsplash.jpg) [source](https://unsplash.com/photos/man-and-woman-holding-hands-ELnxUDFs6ec?utm_content=creditShareLink&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=unsplash) Maybe in your work place, two different department needs a set of resources. One will definitely grab it , the other will definitely feel left out and cheated and also frustrated. But if they can come together, have a honest conversation and sincerely look for options, they are likely to find a stable and balanced ground where everyone is happy and satisfied. Even at home, we don't always have to quarrel with one another , we can always sort for ways to balance even the most demanding situation. I have come to the realization that life is not always about making sure that the other person is beaten and left out, there is also a possibility that a stable and balanced ground can be found were all parties are happy and bear no grudges. People has this tendency or remembering more how you made them feel, and not how many time you proved them wrong. Psychologically , this can leave a feeling of resentment . ![candice-picard-vLENm-coX5Y-unsplash.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmSZvgxxRgpW1tPi7GtUvwSHXwQbviqe7mWB7Emkh1Yz9V/candice-picard-vLENm-coX5Y-unsplash.jpg) [source](https://unsplash.com/photos/man-and-woman-hugging-each-other-vLENm-coX5Y?utm_content=creditShareLink&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=unsplash) So guys , next time that you are having an argument with a friend, co-worker, partner, or family member, don't just think about winning the situation, also think about how both parties can actually come out better and happy. This principle when done very well has the capacity of turning argument into a chance to build trust and not break it. Thanks for your time
