It’s not punishment — it’s to help you deliver safely. 2️⃣ Pushing too early If you start pushing when your cervix is not yet open ( fully dilated ), it can cause swelling, tears, or get too tired before it’s time. 3️⃣ Screaming instead of breathing Yes, labour pain is crazy. But shouting wastes your energy, or makes you get tired easily. Learn to breathe deeply — it helps more than you think! 4️⃣ Refusing C-section when it’s the only safe option. You’re not a failure if you have CS (caesarean section), it's also a form of delivery. What matters is that you and baby are alive and well. 5️⃣ Delaying going to the hospital after water breaks. That baby is at risk of infection! Once your water breaks, don’t wait for “contractions to start.” Go to the hospital immediately. 6️⃣ Taking herbs or concoctions to “speed up” labour Those things can cause distress for the baby or make your uterus rupture.
