In my last text here at HIVE, (click here) I talked about my perspectives on POLKADOT's infrastructure in general and how I believe this project is indeed promising. As a zero-layer, indeed, Polkadot brings something very innovative to the crypto market, it is not yet a consolidated project in terms of adoption. But it has many interesting things to reflect on the potential of this ecosystem and all this I wrote in this initial text about Polkadot.
Now, we will approach the universe of Parachains. In a simple way, parachains are the first layer infrastructures (Layer-1) that are built on top of (Layer-0). In total, according to the Parachains.info website, we have a total of 190 projects competing for a space on Polkadot. So far we have 44 spaces occupied by projects in the Polkadot network and 38 in the Kusama test network, which I will also bring a detailed analysis here soon.
5 Projects with great potential in the Polkadot ecosystem
Before talking about each of these projects, I leave here the "Disclaimer", and say that the purpose of this content is to pass on information, so before making any investment decision, always do your own study.
Once again, for a better understanding of this content, it is essential that you read the first part talking about Polkadot. Now, let's go to the five parachains that I see as assets with great potential to continue growing in this ecosystem.
ASTAR NETWORK (ASTR)
In my opinion, it is the best parachain of the Polkadot network! Known as the multi-chain "DApp Hub", that is, it wants to be a large terminal for the development of decentralized applications (DApps). With one of the best proposals in terms of interoperability, this project has attracted attention mainly in Asia where it has made essential partnerships for the growth of the ecosystem.
Astar Network supports Ethereum, and its protocols (Layer-2), allowing developers to create more efficient, faster and scalable DApps. This is important as it helps solve the interoperability challenges that affect many blockchains today.
dApp Staking, is also another thing that draws attention to Astar. This is a unique blockchain rewards system that works in a different way to what we know as staking. Astar's model, instead of token holders (ASTR) staking their tokens to earn rewards, they need to interact with other DApps on the network so that they can receive the reward in the token. In other words, by staking (ASTR) on Astar's portal, you are automatically also investing in the growth of this ecosystem, as you invest in one of the DApps in the network.
Another important thing to consider about the project is its alignment with the overall vision of the Polkadot ecosystem. Its focus on creating an efficient and scalable network aligns perfectly with the infrastructure's proposal to enable interoperability and information sharing between multiple blockchains.
Astar Network is a project that is still in its infancy, but the Astar Foundation has been working hard to improve the efficiency and usability of the network. In this regard, this is an ecosystem that will grow a lot in the coming years.
With a market value close to 200 million dollars, I believe it is an asset that can achieve absurd valuations in the coming years and for the current average value per token ($ ~ 0.04) I believe it is a project that can fetch between one and two dollars in the coming years per token.
BIFROST (BNC)
This project was built with a focus on Decentralized Finance (DeFi). The goal is to provide liquidity to users participating in the staking process on Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchains. As a parachain on the Polkadot network, the project wants to function as the major liquid staking reference for the ecosystem.
BiFrost's main innovation is the concept of synthetic tokens (vsToken and vToken). The vToken tokens represent the user's claim on the staking assets, and also the rewards that will be received. Whereas vsToken tokens are just staking rewards. This allows users to generate income on staking while still having liquidity, because despite leaving the "token stuck" in the protocol, liquidity remains in the hands because of the synthetic tokens.
These two types of tokens can be traded freely, allowing users to earn income from their holdings, while still being able to use these tokens for other economic activities, such as lending, collateralized lending, and payments. In other words, you can use it for whatever you want.
As a parachain, BiFrost can interact with other parachains in the ecosystem, creating a rich and interconnected environment, which can potentially improve the efficiency and utility of DeFi across multiple blockchains that are integrated.
While BiFrost has a promising concept and solid technical implementation, it is important to note that the DeFi space is full of competition, with many projects seeking to solve similar problems. A project with a tiny market cap, around four million dollars, I believe that despite offering gigantic risk, this is an asset worth studying and keeping on the radar. One of the few projects I see with the ability to do more than 100x.
PARALLEL FINANCE (PARA)
Another DeFi protocol on Polkadot. The project aims to create an ecosystem of decentralized finance that is easy to use and accessible to everyone, regardless of their experience or knowledge in cryptocurrencies, this "ease" to the user is one of the biggest challenges of the crypto market as a whole.
The platform offers a variety of financial products, including high-yield staking, loans and collateralized loans. Parallel's idea is to offer products that maximize yield for users.
One of Parallel's big differentiators is that it offers staking of DOT and KSM tokens (tokens native to the Polkadot and Kusama networks) while users stay liquid. In this regard, it offers a BiFrost-like "liquid staking" service, where users receive synthetic tokens (example: lDOT for staked DOT tokens) that can be traded or used in other DeFi protocols.
The range of products and tight integration with Polkadot, make Parallel Finance have the potential to be a major force in the DeFi space, not least because with Polkadot's layer-0 structure, the protocol can easily "talk" to other networks in the ecosystem.
Despite the idea of Parallel's project being extraordinary, since the token's launch, the price has dropped to drastic zones and its market liquidity is extremely low, which brings a risk to a project like this gigantic.
MOOMBEAM (GLMR)
This is one of the most well-known and also promising parachains of the Polkadot network. It is designed to be a bridge that allows compatibility between Ethereum and Polkadot network. It offers an implementation, allowing Ethereum developers to deploy existing smart contracts on Moonbeam without requiring any code changes. Which makes development easier.
A unique feature of Moonbeam is that it makes it much easier for Ethereum developers to transition to Polkadot due to its compatibility with EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), allowing the reuse of existing development tools like Metamask.
Moonbeam is also a project focused on interoperability between different blockchains, allowing DApps to utilize the unique features of several different networks, rather than being confined to a single network. Very similar to the Astar Network model.
Another important thing is that Moonbeam is a significant part of the Polkadot ecosystem. This could lead to wider adoption as it could become a hub for DApps that need to access resources from several different networks. However, it should be kept in mind that there are other interoperability solutions available and in development.
I recently did a comparison on my channel (Watch the video here) between Astar and Moombeam, and I recommend to always be aware of the risks associated with smart contracts and interoperability. Bugs, vulnerabilities and hacker attacks are always a possibility in the cryptocurrency space, and it is crucial to understand this risk before investing.
Effectively one of the best protocols on Polkadot, Moombem has a market cap hovering around $160 million.
ALEPH ZERO (AZERO)
The focus of this project is on scalability, privacy and security. The idea is to offer a solution that can handle the high volume of transactions while maintaining user privacy and network security.
Aleph Zero uses a unique consensus algorithm model known as AlephBFT. It essentially allows the network to achieve finality of transactions almost instantaneously, making it ideal for applications that require a high throughput rate, such as DeFi and DApps. Another highlight is privacy. The network uses zero-knowledge proof technology (zk-SNARKs) to allow users to conduct transactions privately and securely.
One of the risks of this project, as it is a privacy asset, is the evolving regulatory landscape.
Although Aleph Zero presents a promising concept, the challenges associated with the scalability and privacy of blockchains are significant. Thus, it is important to monitor the evolution of the project, as well as the response of the community and the market to its technology.

5 EXCELENTES PARACHAIN NO ECOSSISTEMA POLKADOT
No meu último texto aqui na HIVE, (confira o texto), falei minhas perspectivas sobre a infraestrutura da POLKADOT de uma forma geral e como acredito que esse projeto efetivamente seja promissor. Como uma camada-zero, de fato, Polkadot traz algo muito inovador para o mercado cripto, ainda não é um projeto consolidado em termos de adoção. Mas tem muitas coisas interessantes para refletirmos sobre o potencial desse ecossistema e tudo isso escrevi nesse texto inicial sobre Polkadot.
Agora, nós vamos abordar o universo das Parachains. De uma maneira simples, as parachains são as infraestruturas de primeira camada (Layer-1) que são construídas sobre a (Layer-0). Ao todo, segundo o site Parachains.info, temos um total de 190 projetos em disputa de um espaço na Polkadot. Até o momento nós temos 44 espaços ocupados por projetos na rede Polkadot e 38 na rede de teste Kusama, que em breve também trarei uma análise detalhada aqui.
5 Projetos com grande potencial no ecossistema Polkadot
Antes de falar sobre cada um desses projetos, deixo aqui a “Advertência de Responsabilidade”, e dizer que o objetivo desse conteúdo é passar informação, por isso antes de tomar qualquer decisão de investimento, faça sempre seu próprio estudo.
Mais uma vez, para melhor entendimento desse conteúdo, é essencial que você leia a primeira parte falando sobre Polkadot. Agora sim, vamos às cinco parachains que vejo como ativos com grande potencial de continuar crescendo nesse ecossistema.
ASTAR NETWORK (ASTR)
Na minha opinião, é a melhor parachain da rede Polkadot! Conhecida como o "DApp Hub" multi-cadeia, ou seja ela quer ser um grande terminal de desenvolvimento de aplicativos descentralizados (DApps). Com uma das melhores propostas em termos de interoperabilidade, esse projeto tem chamado a atenção principalmente na Ásia onde tem feito parcerias essenciais para o crescimento do ecossistema.
A Astar Network suporta Ethereum, e seus protocolos (Layer-2), permitindo que os desenvolvedores criem DApps mais eficientes, rápidos e escaláveis. Isso é importante pois ajuda a resolver os desafios de interoperabilidade que afetam muitos blockchains atualmente.
dApp Staking, também é outra coisa que chama atenção na Astar. Esse é um sistema único de recompensas de bloqueio que funciona de uma forma diferente daquilo que a gente conhece como “staking”. O modelo da Astar, ao invés dos titulares dos tokens (ASTR) colocarem seus tokens em staking para ganhar recompensas, eles precisam interagir com outros DApps da rede para que possam receber a recompensa no token. Ou seja, ao fazer o staking de (ASTR) no portal da Astar, automaticamente você também está investindo no crescimento desse ecossistema, pois você investe em um dos DApps da rede.
Outra coisa importante a ser considerada sobre o projeto é o seu alinhamento com a visão geral do ecossistema Polkadot. Seu foco na criação de uma rede eficiente e escalável se alinha perfeitamente com a proposta da infraestrutura de permitir a interoperabilidade e compartilhamento de informações entre várias blockchains.
Astar Network é um projeto que ainda está bem no começo, porém a Astar Foundation tem trabalhado de forma pesada para melhorar a eficiência e usabilidade da rede. Nesse quesito, esse é um ecossistema que vai crescer muito nos próximos anos.
Com um valor de mercado próximo aos 200 milhões de dólares, acredito que é um ativo que pode se alcançar valorizações absurdas nos próximos anos e para o valor atual médio por token (US$ ~0,04) acredito que seja um projeto que pode buscar entre um a dois dólares nos próximos anos por token.
BIFROST (BNC)
Esse projeto foi construído com foco em Finanças Descentralizadas (DeFi). O objetivo é fornecer liquidez aos usuários que participam do processo de staking em blockchains Proof-of-Stake (PoS). Como parachain na rede Polkadot, o projeto quer funcionar como a grande referência de staking líquido para o ecossistema.
A principal inovação da BiFrost é o conceito de tokens sintéticos (vsToken e vToken). Os tokens vToken representam a reivindicação do usuário sobre os ativos em staking, e também as recompensas que serão recebidas. Já os tokens vsToken são apenas recompensas de staking. Isso permite que os usuários gerem rendimentos no staking enquanto ainda possuem liquidez, porque apesar de deixar o “token preso” no protocolo, a liquidez continua nas mãos por causa dos tokens sintéticos.
Esses dois tipos de tokens podem ser negociados livremente, permitindo que os usuários obtenham rendimentos de suas participações, enquanto ainda podem usar esses tokens para outras atividades econômicas, como empréstimo, empréstimo colateralizado, e pagamentos. Ou seja, pode usar para o que quiser.
Como parachain, a BiFrost pode interagir com outras parachains no ecossistema, criando um ambiente rico e interligado, o que potencialmente pode melhorar a eficiência e a utilidade do DeFi em vários blockchains que estão integrados.

PARALLEL FINANCE (PARA)
Mais um protocolo de DeFi na Polkadot. O projeto tem o objetivo de criar um ecossistema de finanças descentralizadas que seja fácil de usar e acessível para todos, independente de sua experiência ou conhecimento em criptomoedas, essa “facilidade” ao usuário é um dos maiores desafios do mercado cripto como um todo.
A plataforma oferece uma variedade de produtos financeiros, incluindo staking de alto rendimento, empréstimos e empréstimos colateralizados. A ideia da Parallel é oferecer produtos que maximizem o rendimento para os usuários.
Um dos grandes diferenciais da Parallel é que ela oferece o staking de tokens DOT e KSM (tokens nativos das redes Polkadot e Kusama) enquanto os usuários se mantêm líquidos. Nesse quesito, ela oferece um serviço parecido com a BiFrost de "liquid staking", onde os usuários recebem tokens sintéticos (exemplo: lDOT para tokens DOT apostados) que podem ser negociados ou usados em outros protocolos DeFi.

Apesar da ideia do projeto da Parallel ser extraordinária, desde o lançamento do token, o preço caiu para zonas drásticas e sua liquidez de mercado é extremamente baixa, o que traz um risco para um projeto como esse gigantesco.
MOOMBEAM (GLMR)
Essa é uma das parachains mais conhecidas e também promissoras da rede Polkadot. Ela foi projetada para ser uma ponte que permite compatibilidade entre rede Ethereum e Polkadot. Ela oferece uma implementação, permitindo que os desenvolvedores de Ethereum implantem contratos inteligentes existentes no Moonbeam sem necessidade de qualquer alteração no código. O que facilita o desenvolvimento.
Uma característica única do Moonbeam é que ele torna muito mais fácil para os desenvolvedores de Ethereum fazerem a transição para o Polkadot devido à sua compatibilidade com o EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), permitindo a reutilização de ferramentas de desenvolvimento existentes como a Metamask.
Moonbeam também é um projeto focado em interoperabilidade entre diferentes blockchains, permitindo que os DApps utilizem as características únicas de várias redes diferentes, ao invés de ficarem confinadas a uma única rede. Bem parecido com o modelo da Astar Network.
Outra coisa importante é que a Moonbeam é uma parte significativa do ecossistema Polkadot. Isso pode levar a uma adoção mais ampla, pois pode se tornar um hub para DApps que precisam acessar recursos de várias redes diferentes. No entanto, deve-se ter em mente que há outras soluções de interoperabilidade disponíveis e em desenvolvimento.
Recentemente fiz um comparativo no meu canal entre Astar e Moombeam, (assista o vídeo aqui) e recomendo que estejam sempre atentos aos riscos associados aos contratos inteligentes e à interoperabilidade. Bugs, vulnerabilidades e ataques de hackers são sempre uma possibilidade no espaço das criptomoedas, e é crucial entender esse risco antes de investir.
Efetivamente um dos melhores protocolos no Polkadot, a Moombem tem um valor de mercado com valor de mercado circulando próximo dos 160 milhões de dólares.
