Otro día para luchar la batalla [Es-En] Another day to fight the battle

[ Hiedra, Hedera helix] Espeso velo, tupida cortina sobre la cerca, protege la intimidad del jardín. Cierra el paso a las miradas curiosas, sin impedir al aire su libre tránsito. El frío se aleja poco a poco y el sol vuelve a calentar, es hora tornar a las caminatas matinales. Pronto se cumplirá otro año de mi liberación del tabaco y otro poco de tiempo y llegará mi cumpleaños, tiempo para nuevos propósitos o mejor, los mismos, bajo diferente enfoque. Nueva estrategia, cambio de hábito. Hasta los buenos hábitos son tiranos, pero que mejor estrategia que apoyarse en uno bueno, para eliminar al malo. Algunos, como el comer no se pueden abandonar, son de los más difíciles de controlar. Como no pretendo sufrir, ni privarme del placer, ya estoy en camino de implementar la campaña. Como los antiguos generales, apresto mi ejército en primavera, para tenerlo dispuesto en verano. Nada de elegir fechas señaladas, ni aniversarios, mucho menos días festivos o de celebración, lo mejor alistar las baterías y batallones para ir a la batalla el día más ordinario de la semana.  El lunes al amanecer, atacar y sorprender. El Señor de los ejércitos garantiza la victoria a todo el que salga dispuesto a la guerra. Promete entregar en tus manos al enemigo. Solo hay que salir dispuesto.  Aseguraba un sabio religioso que si alguna vez llegaba al cielo, sería por estar huyendo del infierno. Imagino que no solo leyó la Biblia, en alguna ocasión se cruzó con Dante. Aunque el enemigo este con nosotros, dejaré los detalles para más adelante, cuando tenga algún triunfo que mostrar. Tal vez la próxima semana, iniciadas las operaciones, enfrente el juicio imparcial, no de un dios, más bien al fiel acusador de la balanza. Mientras tanto, dejaré hasta aquí la reflexión de hoy, para considerar otros frentes que no hay que descuidar, aunque solo se libre una batalla por vez. Soon it will be another year since I quit smoking, and a little more time and my birthday will arrive, time for new resolutions, or rather, the same ones, with a different approach. New strategy, change of habit. Even good habits are tyrants, but what better strategy than to build on a good one to eliminate the bad one. Some, like eating, cannot be abandoned; they are among the most difficult to control. Since I don't intend to suffer or deprive myself of pleasure, I'm already on my way to implementing the campaign. Like the ancient generals, I prepare my army in spring, to have it ready by summer. No need to choose special dates, anniversaries, much less holidays or celebrations. It's best to prepare the batteries and battalions to go into battle on the most ordinary day of the week.  At dawn on Monday, attack and surprise. The Lord of hosts guarantees victory to all who go forth ready for war. He promises to deliver the enemy into your hands. You only need to go forth ready.  A wise religious man once claimed that if he ever reached heaven, it would be by fleeing hell. I imagine he not only read the Bible, but also crossed paths with Dante on occasion.
