ttttt_122748.png Hello again dear hivers. Last Friday, I attended the first General PTA Meeting and homeroom meeting in the school where I studied when I was in Grade 7-8, and where my younger brother currently studying. It was raining that time that’s why I chose to wear thick jacket. IMG_20250704_124935.jpg

The first thing was, I asked with other parent where the meeting would held. An older than I am answered me that we need to go to the homeroom classroom. I rushed towards my brothers classroom when the parents I passed by having conversation like they are not aware where’s the room of their children. I cautiously asked about the grade of their children. They were both in junior high. I told them that they should go back to the Junior High building. IMG_20250704_125448.jpg

By the way, the room of Junior and Senior high school was separated due to the expansion of enrollees that’s why senior highschool was in the lower part of the school wherein it’s not yet done.

By brother is a HUMS student, and he’s in Grade 12 now. I entered the classroom, few was here. We waited for ten minutes but there’s no longer parents coming in. (while waiting, we had attendance) maybe some were in other grade levels because of the grade of their child. The classroom adviser greets us and welcomes us. She began the agenda which was about voting for Homeroom Officers; Id and uniform; and other concerns. The table is now open for nominations, for the president she asked who wants to be the president. Gladly, some officers volunteered their selves and the other was nominated. The teacher also insightfully share some other matters like what should the parents’ project. One of the officers before asked as that what if we would continue what we started last year about buying electric fun. We tackled about this and we agreed that we would buy two big electric which is good for the students. The students were all forty-eight.

As you can see, the classroom is not that conducive for learning. It’s just a temporary because there’s ongoing building construction – it will be a three-story building. We continued to talk about how much contribution, and if there will be left in money, they can buy a TV for the learners as they don’t have own tv for the HUMS grade 12. After this, we headed to the covered court to attend the General PTA meeting.

As usual, we wrote our name in the attendance sheet. Fortunately, I brought a pen with me wherein they do not have a pen to use so the next to me borrowed my pen.

Other chairs did not filled in. I think some parents didn’t come.A few minutes passed, the meeting started. Ms. Batanes, was the master of ceremonies. She called in the Teacher in - charge to start the meeting. She draws to us whats the agenda. We begin the meeting with a welcome by the parent president who is a jolly woman. After this, a prayer. The Teacher In-Charge talked about some important matters like bullying, and drunkenness of some students, and while others shared their insight about this. Also, those Homeroom PTA officers cast their vote for the General President, and some officers of the school, and afterwards they announced the winner. As it turned out, the same President was chosen. Gladly, we welcomed her again for this school year 2025-2026. As it continued, they discussed also the activities coming for this month and in the month of August, so the teacher highlights to us guardian and parents to support our children. Lastly, having the collaborative effort for both teachers and parents for the betterment of the school, and above all, the children who are studying. I can say that, the 1st meeting was successful one.
