Hi there! I hope everyone doing well.
Since it's vacation, I decided to have quick getaway to the city of Baguio. It's been two months when I didn't think of going to somewhere else to replenish my mind from doing hide hustle plus schooling.
It's two hours ride from my hometown and the environment was really different compared to city. You can see tall buildings, and ques' transportation going back and forth.
I would say that it's not a perfect weather, it's foggy and cloudy that makes the sun hidden, and I can't even take a photo where the sky is blue, but I'm glad that it's not raining today.
Moving on, I decided to roam in some of the tourist spot in the city that other visitors come to visit with their families, friends, and love ones because Baguio is one of the tourist destination here in the Philippines, and it is the Summer Capital of the Philippines. So, a lot of cozy places you can try to explore here.
As I continued my walking, I passed by this public market of the city. There are varieties of merchandise. You can see indiginous crafts made by the public. There were also pasalubong (Souvenir/Token from a trip) that are being sold. Going on, I stopped in Abanao Square wherein there's an overpass side by side - it's a prominent pedestrian bridge in the city. It connects Abanao Road, Harrison Road, Magsaysay Avenue, and Shnaum Street as it is convenient for foot traffic.
Now, I decided to walk faster to reach Burnham Park because it's look like going to drizzle. As usual, I went though these jeepney's as used for transportation. So, if you are deciding to visit Baguio, try to ride in this pretty transpo - the fare is fair and the drivers are kind, and friendly.
PS: SORRY, I forgot to take a photo of those colorful jeepneys
And if you see these jeepney, you are near to Burnham Park Lake.
No more dramas! Tadaaaa.. BURNHAM PARK IS WAVING. 😀😍 Here, you can rent a boat. It's a man-made boating, and the rates depending on the time you choose. For instance, for thirty minutes, it ranges around 200.00 pesos.
Also here, you can do picnic in this area. During Sunday and summer vacation, families from other places come to do picnicking.
And if you want to try biking, there's a designated area for biking with bicycles available for rent. Rentals may vary on time. For half hour, it is 150.00 good 4-5 person but you can choose solo ride depending on the type of bicycle you prefer.
Not only this, but there's a Rose Garden, it's a landscaped garden wherein it features variety of roses. But this time, some of the roses didn't bloom and there were flowers are also planted. So, here are some that I captured.
As I come back, I got past this Igorot Garden that features statues representing the five Igorot tribes (Ibalois, Bontocs, Kalingas, Ifugaos, and Kankanaeys), and this Malcom Square where people gather as they chill and watch when there's an event transpired here.
There are part of Burnham Park I didn't take a picture of because it drizzle a bit and I didn't have my umbrella. Next time I show you around and also some tourist spot in the city. This ends my journey, I hope you find it amazing. Thanks for sparing your time to read. 🥰🥰
