The process of drawing this remains my favorite till today. I really really enjoyed drawing it, the pleasure was so palpable. I had an image in my head of how I wanted it to look, but finding a reference image proved challenging. I had to use my imagination to get my desired result and the outcome was so satisfying to me.

I try to draw my characters in situations I imagine myself in. I have never been surrounded by flowers like her, but I imagine what it'd be like if I was. I guess in a way, my works are depictions of fantasies I aspire to. Some are more realistic than others.
And, is it just me, or does the age of the girl seem pretty vague to you? I was trying to draw a girl that could pass for 12-13 years old, I'm not sure how well that is conveyed. Her face was not taken from any reference image, nor is it a depiction of someone I know, I just imagined her into existence. Lol, I basically created a person.
