Y ¿Qué podemos decir del equipo de nuestro editor en jefe @hosgug, los Rojos de Cincinnati? Simple. Ellos ya habían obtenido el premio mayor de pasar a la ronda de Wild Card. Nadie podría haber esperado más de ellos y eso quedó evidenciado con la barrida ante los Dodgers de Los Ángeles. Un marcador 10 a 5 en el primer juego y una pizarra de 8 a 4 en el segundo, fueron inapelables. Incluso, no se comprende el cómo la maquinaria Dodger vino a parar a ronda de comodines. Habría sido muy lindo que los Rojos le sacaran de carrera, pero los sueños son sólo eso. A Cincinnati le espera un futuro brillante. Durante la temporada alimentamos las esperanzas de @hosgug, con la certeza del talento a bordo en el roster de los Rojos, pero jamás esperé verlos en postemporada tan pronto como éste año. Así las cosas, creo firmemente que los chicos de la ciudad cervecera artesanal por excelencia, serán una dinastía en los próximos años.

A los Tigres de Detroit les aplaudo desde lo más sincero de mi alma. Primero debo decir eran mis favoritos sentimentales, pero no los veía pasando ¿La razón? La extraordinaria remontada de los Guardians al finalizar la campaña, para quitarles la corona de la división. A veces es muy difícil ganarle a un equipo enrachado. Pero Tarik Skubal fue el as que siempre ha sido y el único chance que al parecer tenían los chicos de Cleveland era ganarle al abridor estrella en el primer juego. Eso no ocurrió y los abridores de la ciudad del motor, además de la ofensiva que bateó 22 hits en los tres juegos, llevaron las cosas a su justo lugar. Ni siquiera sirvió el amuleto venezolano Brayan Roccio, quien volvió a jonronear en la serie e hizo jugadas defensivas espectaculares. Detroit se verá las caras con un equipo mucho más difícil en su casa: los Marineros de Seattle.
