Muy limpia, ordenada y como si fuera una de esas metrópolis sacadas de juegos de vídeo. Gente encantadora, verde por todos lados, en fin, póngala en su lista de lugares por visitar. Jamás se arrepentirá. Y he aquí no pudimos menos que ver con mucho sentimiento las caras de los peloteros nautas cuando cayó el out 27. Adiós sueño de ir por vez primera, como única franquicia que no ha jugado una serie mundial. Los fanáticos tendrán que seguir esperando. Toronto por su parte, merece el premio y jugará versus los Dodgers el viernes como local, su primera serie mundial de éste siglo (la última vez que asistieron fue en 1993).

But truth be told, my love for Seattle didn’t start with King Félix—it sparked when we first rolled into that city, which feels like it’s playing in a different league compared to most U.S. towns. Tampoco es secreta la admiración que sentimos por el tercera base venezolano Eugenio "Geno" Suárez, muy a pesar del campocorto incidental criollo Andrés Giménez admirado por su guante y quien sí verá la serie mundial desde el protagonismo. En el quinto de la serie, Eugenio fue fundamental para poner a tiro de uno, el pase a la serie mundial de los Marineros. No se pudo. Un jugador no hace montaña. Y jamás nos sentiríamos así, si los acontecimientos hubiesen tenido, digamos, otro tipo de derrota. 4 carreras por 3, en un juego que iba rumbo a ser ganado porque ibas arriba 3 a 1, es demasiado doloroso ¿A quien echarle la culpa, si tal cosa existiese, cuando se pierde de esa manera? A nadie, tal como lo veo. Es béisbol en su manera más pura. Pero, por supuesto, ya andan por ahí los pájaros agoreros quienes ven una responsabilidad en el manejo del pitcheo de los nautas.

No secret here—we’ve got mad respect for Venezuelan third baseman Eugenio “Geno” Suárez, even if fellow countryman Andrés Giménez, slick with the leather at short, is the one getting his shot at the big dance. Geno came up clutch in Game 5, nearly punching the M’s ticket to the Fall Classic. But it wasn’t meant to be. One player doesn’t build a mountain.
