One thing you should never be stingy with is food. And even less so with your wife. That said, last week we hit up this spot called "Mikonos" for some frozen yogurt, not far from the place I’m about to talk about. So we bounce outta the froyo joint and stroll past this storefront called Zhuba. No signs, no clues, nada about what goes down in there. But hey, good ol’ Google came through and turns out it’s an Asian food spot. Between the reviews and folks hyping it up, we figured it was the perfect place to treat our bellies—plus we had @aventurerasbike rolling with us. We ended up there Friday night after locking in our dinner plans. Now, before you haul your crew over to Zhuba, lemme tell you—it ain’t cheap. But the price tag’s totally worth it for the bomb food and top-notch service.

Tucked on Los Clubes Street, right off Las Delicias Avenue in La Floresta, Maracay, Aragua State, this spot’s got that Asian food magic dialed in. The place is slick—modern vibes with a global feel—and each area’s designed to match whatever you’re there to do. Case in point: there’s a big kids’ zone packed with games so the little ones can go wild while the grown-ups wait on their grub. That’s no small perk, especially when you can’t leave the kiddos solo or don’t have a sitter on deck. The food game here is strong—one minute you’re munching Thai, next thing you know you’re diving into Japanese. And the fusion? Peruvian meets Thai or just straight-up Asian mashups that’ll blow your taste buds away with how they mix those flavors

We went with the “NinKO table” setup, which came stacked with three-flavor yakisoba, Cantonese fried rice, a satay trio (grilled teriyaki skewers of chicken, beef tenderloin, and shrimp), plus two veggie-packed beef lumpias. Pics of all that goodness? Yeah, we owe you—hunger hit hard and we totally spaced on snapping shots. And honestly, when you’re out somewhere special with your wife, it’s straight-up rude to be glued to your phone. You get so into the convo, content creation just fades out. Of course, once the feast wraps up and you’re up from the table feeling full and happy, that’s when you rush to grab a few shots of the place—mostly to show off the vibe where you just went on a flavor adventure. Everything was fire, especially those rice noodles loaded with beef, chicken, shrimp, and veggies—total foodgasm material. Real talk, every bite was worth the spend.

After we wrapped up the meal, we took a stroll through the different sections and found out there’s a whole café-bakery-pastry-gelato setup (Zhuba Café) tucked in the back of the place. You can sip on handcrafted coffee made from their own beans or dive into some creamy gelato that could go toe-to-toe with the stuff they serve in Patagonia. Seriously, it’s that good—we tried the pistachio gelato for dessert and stayed put to enjoy it right there. The crew at the restaurant, super chill and helpful, told us the spot’s been around for over six years. We had no clue, and stumbling on this culinary gem was a legit surprise. It brings back a slice of Maracay’s old rep as a top food destination back in the petro-dollar days. Totally worth it—if you’re ever in the mood to splurge on a pricey but insanely tasty meal, this is the move.
