Within psychology, there are many branches or specializations that allow us to study human behavior in different contexts. For example, I am a psychologist in the field of education, but I have worked in clinical, organizational, child, sports, teaching, and prison settings. Saludos amigos de Hive y de la comunidad YouHive, es un gusto para mi estar nuevamente con ustedes para participar en la nueva iniciativa que trata sobre podcast. Cabe destacar que no soy consumidor asiduo de este contenido pero hay uno en especial que logró captar mi atención porque guarda estrecha relación con mi profesión, la psicología.
Dentro de la psicología existen muchas ramas o especializaciones que permiten estudiar la conducta humana en diversos contextos. Por ejemplo, yo soy psicólogo en el área de educación, pero he trabajado en el área clínica, organizacional, infantil, deportiva, docente y penitenciaria. El podcast que les traigo para reseñar nos muestra desde el periodismo, el punto de vista de un criminal al cometer un delito, dando testimonios interesantes que permiten desde diversas disciplinas, estudiar el por qué una persona puede llegar a extremos de hacer daño de forma pasiva y violenta. I've been following this podcast for about a year now. It features a couple of Colombian journalists who delve into the depths of Colombia's most brutal crimes, interviewing victims (who are still alive) and perpetrators, whether they are incarcerated or not. It's a very raw podcast that gives the interviewee the freedom to speak without censorship. Obviously, YouTube has its restrictions, but I'm referring to the fact that the crimes are recounted without fear or shame, which means that it's not a program suitable for all audiences. Currently, Conducta Delictiva has more than 500 thousand subscribers to its channel, considering that they have only uploaded a little more than 80 videos, an incredible feat for up-and-coming content creators today.
Tengo más o menos un año siguiendo este podcast, se trata de una pareja de periodistas colombianos que se meten en las entrañas de los crímenes más brutales de Colombia, entrevistando a víctimas (que siguen vivas) y victimarios, sea que estén privados de libertad o no. Es un podcast muy crudo que da libertad al entrevistado de hablar sin censura, obviamente Youtube tiene sus restricciones, pero me refiero al hecho de que se relatan los crímenes sin ningún temor y pudor, lo que hace que no sea un programa apto para todo público. Actualmente Conducta Delictiva cuenta con más de 500 mil suscriptores en su canal teniendo en cuenta que apenas han subido un poco más de 80 videos, una hazaña increíble para creadores de contenido en ascenso en el presente.

Esta pareja está escribiendo una nueva historia en el periodismo digital y con su podcast están permitiendo que ciencias como la psicología, tenga material de estudio con respecto al área forense principalmente. La cuenta de Instagram del programa tiene más de 200 mil seguidores y los perfiles personales de cada periodista, apenas están emergiendo. Por otro lado, en Facebook cuentan con más de 300 mil seguidores, lo que nos dice a nivel de métricas que entre todos sus perfiles suman ya más del millón de seguidores. Let's get down to business and talk about the content. Since I started following them, there have been episodes that can cause shock or anxiety. A good example is this one, where a serial killer whose last crime was to kill his ex-partner and children without any remorse recounts every detail of this heinous crime with a naturalness typical of psychopathy, making this episode one of the most viewed on the channel. In fact, a few months ago, they interviewed him again because in this episode, journalists' social media exploded with questions for the interviewee, so they decided to do a second part. These journalists have undoubtedly felt terror while asking questions and listening, which has been noticeable in their body language and verbal communication. However, the level of professionalism of both is so high that they know how to handle themselves emotionally in front of their guest. They are very good at what they do, and that is why they have received congratulatory comments from many subscribers. I won't tell you much about the interviewee so as not to spoil the show, but he himself asked to be sentenced to life in prison because he is aware of the danger he poses to society. He also mocks the police's intelligence for their methods of catching him and gives us a well-constructed preamble on what it means to commit crimes of this magnitude without being discovered so quickly. >
Entremos ahora en materia, hablemos del contenido. Desde que los sigo, han habido episodios que pueden generar estupor o generar ansiedad, un buen ejemplo es este en donde un asesino serial cuyo último crimen fue matar a su expareja e hijos sin remordimiento alguno, relata cada detalle de este atroz crimen con una naturalidad típica de la psicopatía, haciendo de este episodio uno de los más vistos del canal, de hecho hace unos meses lo volvieron a entrevistar porque en este episodio las redes de los periodistas explotaron con preguntas para el entrevistado y por ello decidieron hacer una segunda parte.
Estos periodistas sin duda alguna han sentido el terror mientras preguntan y escuchan, se les ha notado en su lenguaje corporal y verbal, sin embargo, el nivel de profesionalismo de ambos es tan alto, que saben manejarse emocionalmente frente a su invitado, son muy buenos en su área y por eso han recibido comentarios de felicitaciones de muchos suscriptores.
No les diré mucho del entrevistado para no hacer spoilers, pero él mismo pidió que lo sentenciaran a cadena perpetua porque está consciente del peligro que es para la sociedad. Igualmente se burla de la inteligencia policial por sus métodos para atraparlo y nos da un preámbulo bien armado de lo que significa hacer crímenes de esta magnitud sin ser descubierto tan rápido.

Este es otro de los episodios más vistos del canal; entrevistan a otro asesino serial que mentalmente, está muy disociado durante la entrevista, al punto tal que pierde el control y la entrevista tuvo que ser finalizada. En comparación al entrevistado del video anterior, este invitado es más agresivo en su discurso y se siente a medida que transcurre el episodio, como su delirio persecutorio va saliendo a flote hasta ponerlo en actitud defensiva y hostil hacia los entrevistadores. During my career, I have had the opportunity to interview many people, from children to the elderly. In the course of my work in prisons, I have encountered criminals who have stolen nothing more than a phone, as well as criminals who have raped and killed in cold blood. I must confess that when dealing with the latter, you need nerves of steel to listen to their stories and observe their body language during an evaluation. However, I have always managed to see their human side without judging them because they are simply the product of something that led them to be that way. Of course, I am not justifying what they have done, but in my work, the premise with patients like this is to help them lead a healthier life and reintegrate them into society with a more coherent view of their emotions and the people around them. It will never be easy because there are people who simply cannot be part of society due to their psychological profiles, whether they are sociopathic or psychopathic. For this reason, the work of a mental health professional is sometimes greatly undervalued by institutions unless they are a psychiatrist, in which case the story may be different, but that is another matter. I have been practicing psychology for 20 years and have dealt with people suffering from depression, even those with high-risk disorders. It will always be difficult to work with patients who have antisocial personality disorders, as they create their own rules and see the world as something they must take revenge on. If you ask me if I have interviewed patients like the ones in the videos, my answer is yes. At first, it was difficult for me because of what I heard, but over the years I learned to adapt to that dark side that life has for some people. I didn't want to continue working in that area because it's certainly not for everyone, but that's where I took my knowledge of psychology to the max, and I am grateful to God and life for that. Durante mi profesión, he tenido la oportunidad de entrevistar a muchas personas, desde niños hasta ancianos; en ese recorrido y durante mi trabajo en cárceles, me he topado con criminales que solo han robado un teléfono, hasta criminales que han violado y matado a sangre fría. Debo confesarles que para esos últimos, hay que tener nervios de acero por el relato y lenguaje corporal de ellos durante una evaluación, sin embargo, siempre he logrado ver el lado humano de ellos sin juzgarlos porque simplemente son producto de algo que los lleva a ser así, claro está, no estoy justificando lo que han hecho, pero dentro de mi trabajo la premisa con pacientes así, es ayudarles a llevar una vida más sana y reinsertarlos a la sociedad con una visión más coherente de sus emociones y de las personas que les rodean. Jamás será algo sencillo porque hay personas que simplemente no pueden ser parte de la sociedad por sus perfiles psicológicos sean sociopáticos o psicopáticos, por ello el trabajo de un profesional de la salud mental es a veces muy poco valorado por las instituciones a menos que sea un psiquiatra, ahí el cuento puede ser distinto, pero eso es otro tema.
Tengo 20 años ejerciendo la psicología y he podido tener frente a mi a personas con una depresión, hasta personas con trastornos de alto riesgo. Siempre será difícil trabajar con pacientes que tienen trastornos de personalidad antisocial ya que ellos crean sus reglas y ven el mundo como algo de lo que se tienen que vengar. Si me preguntan si he entrevistado a pacientes como los de los videos, mi respuesta es sí, al principio fue fuerte para mi por lo que escuchaba, pero con los años aprendí a acoplarme a ese lado oscuro que la vida tiene para algunos. No quise seguir trabajando en esa área porque ciertamente no es para cualquiera, pero ahí fue donde llevé mis conocimientos de psicología al máximo y estoy agradecido con Dios y la vida por ello.
