If we are given only one chance to live how can there be reincarnation? Brother Eli asked as he began the second part of this series on reincarnation.
If reincarnation exists, there must have been people living with us who are now better much than they were 200, or 300 years ago. According to the concept of reincarnation, anyone can go through the process of dying and be reborn hundred times. But this is not what the Bible states, "For it is ordained that men die once, and after this comes the judgment."
We have to know what the word reincarnation really means. According to Brother Eli, one of the doctrines of reincarnation that people are sticking to is the Hindu teaching. Accordingly, a soul reincarnates again and again on Earth till it becomes perfect and reunites with its source. During this process, the soul enters into many bodies assumes many forms, and passes through many births and deaths. This concept is summarily described in the following verse of the Bhagavad-gita
Just as a man discards worn out clothes and puts on new clothes the soul discards worn out bodies and wears new ones
This Hinduism teaching according to Brother Eli is false and a lie. The idea of reincarnation in this book is that a soul reincarnates again and again on Earth until it becomes perfect and reunites with its source. This idea suggests that for a man to become perfect he must die many times and be reborn again many times to attain perfection and reunites with his source.
If the above concept is true, and reincarnation does exist, there would now be people who are better than they were hundreds of years ago because the idea of reincarnation according to the Hindu teaching is about gaining perfection.
This simply means if you die now in imperfections, in your next life you are going to be reborn a better person than you were in your previous life. It's as if you may have learned your lesson in your previous life to not be reborn in the same way but in a better form. As you continue to die again and be reborn again you will now be much better.
If this reincarnation concept is true then there must have been lesser problems in the world today, considering the 6000 years of history of Humanity. There must have been few criminals, fewer rapists, and drug addicts in this generation. This should be so because there must now be so many who have reincarnated many times for thousands and thousands of years this world has been in existence. This is the time there will be people who are all perfected and free of evil intentions.
But, is that what's happening on Earth today? Far from it, instead, the opposite is what we're experiencing. There is more evil today than it was before. That was exactly what the Bible says in the book of second Timothy chapter 3:1-5.
It says, in the last days people will be much more inclined to do evil as the day of judgment draws near. Where then are the reincarnated people who are now perfected to do more good? Instead, the world is getting worse with much evil taking over the Earth. If reincarnation is true according to Hinduism then the world would have been a better place today, because we would be having better people.
The world is deteriorating with more evil, as it was prophetically pointed out by God in the book of 2 Timothy 3:13.
Evil men and seducers will become more and more evil, deceiving others and being deceived themselves.
Examine the matter closely, it indicates that evil men and seducers will become more and more evil, deceiving others and being deceived themselves. If the idea of reincarnation is true then what the Bible is saying isn't true. However, what we see happening in the world today is exactly what the Bible said. Instead of having better and better people according to the reincarnation idea, we now have worse and worse people who are deceiving and being deceived.
What is happening in the world is the opposite of the reincarnation idea. People are becoming eviler, and a time will come when a deceiver will be deceived. This means that the one who deceived the deceiver is eviler than the former.
That cannot happen if people are growing better and better through the reincarnation process.
We can see the foolishness of the reincarnation idea. An idea based on lies and deceitfulness.
