Reincarnation has been a main point of disagreement between Christians and non-Christians. Maybe you have thought once or twice if the Bible speaks about reincarnation. A great number of people are of the opinion that it is so, and a few even claim that they have lived past lives. Read on to learn more about what the Bible says about reincarnation in this first part of the series from brother Eli Soriano.

ln this first part of the teaching, brother Eli first established the authority of the Bible as a book that came from God. In his words, the Bible is a book that is in so many instances proven to have come from God. It's written through God's guidance by the inspiration of His holy spirit. God inspired men to write the books of the Bible as we know them now.

When it comes to the discussion of reincarnation, there are those who supported the idea. However, when we look at the Bible itself, we find no mention or support for this idea. it's not difficult to search for anything in the Bible in our days. With the help of a computer, we only need to type in the words and in a few seconds the computer searched the whole Bible for relevant information about the words we are looking for.

If we look for the term reincarnation in the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, we cannot find it even once. Reincarnation is not a concept that God revealed, otherwise, the Bible would have been its witness.

In fact, in many places, the Bible states that our life on Earth is all we have and we will only live once. One can read the book of Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)

And it is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes the judgment:

Not seeing the word reincarnation and the concept in the Holy Scriptures means that God is not in favor of it. As it is appointed unto men once to die if you are going to die once how can you be reincarnated? It is God's appointed will that man shall die once.

There are only a few people in the Bible who died twice because they encountered the miracle of resurrection through the Lord Jesus Christ. One such example is Lazarus who died once but was resurrected by the Lord Jesus Christ and died again but those are special cases and we are sure that there is a norm and the norm is that it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the Judgment.

"If we are given only one chance to live and one chance to die how can there be reincarnation? at reincarnation, you are going to die a hundred times, even a thousand times if you believe in the idea of reincarnation". Brother Eli concluded!

That said, God created us with immortal souls which never cease to exist. When a person dies their soul goes to be judged by God, either for Heaven or Hell, depending on their relationship with Him. So, even if people believe in reincarnation but from a biblical point of view, it seems that this belief is not supported.
