DIY OF HOW I PREPARED MY IKOKORE (WATER YAM PORRIDGE)

Hello Hive, good evening to us all, how has been our day. Hope our day went on well. I want to share with us how I prepared my ikokore.

Ikokore is also known as water yam porridge. A food well known with the people from Ijebu,a part in Ogun state, Nigeria.

Firstly, I slice my water yam after that I cut into smaller pieces.

After that I grate my water yam manual grater, electric blender cannot be used.

When you are done, add your seasoning and mix with your hand.

Then put pot on fire, add water to the pot, then add your fish, crayfish, dried fish. Add your grinded pepper or grinded rodo/tatashe.

So I allow to boil for some minutes and remove it, then I set aside . I debone the fish.

So I scoop my grated water yam to the water, then add the debone fish, palm oil and more seasoning to taste.

Then I allow to cook for some minutes, after that I put off the fire and allow to steam before serving. This is the outcome.
