Hace un par de d[ias por X me topé con un post de nuestro amigo @fermionico, donde nos compartía un artículo que recientemente ha escrito para un reconocido portal de noticias en el mundo cripto, dicho artículo que sobra decir que merece ser leído gira en torno a la edificación de una ética en la descentralización, pasando por preguntas importantes y aspectos que deben ser tomados en cuenta.
No se si pueda considerarse coincidencia pero, motivado por el próximo PowerUpDay aproveché la ocasión para intentar disertar un poco a modo de aproximación a una ética de la descentralización o más bien una ética para la descentralización, sea como sea, me pareció un fenómeno importante a la hora de intentar proponer horizontes de sentido para pensar la ética en este nuevo entorno digital que conocemos como web3.
Hay una pregunta que nos menciona Marco en su artículo que deseo invocar a continuacion:
“¿Hacia una ética sin jerarquía?”
Es una interrogante que apunta a una dirección clara, y que implica profundos retos como bien lo expresa mi amigo Marco, una ética en un entorno descentralizado debe partir no como una orden o imposición, sino que debe de algún modo emanar de la iteración de la comunidad o alguna memoria colectiva, pero, para que ocurra algo como ello debe haber un disparador o mecanismo que propicie tal cosa. Y es en este punto, donde quiero ahora volver la mirada a mi publicación sobre la ética, en específico al intento de adaptar el imperativo de Hans Jonas a nuestra necesidad, tal adaptación puede ser algo así como un principio ético para con Hive:
“Obra de tal manera que el efecto de tu acción sea edificante con la permanencia y construcción de la blockchain Hive”
Seguramente estimado lector estarás pensando para este punto parece un poco contradictorio que primero diga que siguiendo la idea de Marco sobre una ética en un entorno descentralizado debe surgir desde la comunidad y no como imposición, pero este imperativo o intento de máxima no pretende ser una verdad en si, sino que puede tomarse como punto de partida para una reflexión personal y que podamos cuestionar nuestro actuar tanto onchain como offchain, ya que nos esforzaremos en que cada uno de nuestros actos pueda ser edificante. Me parece que aunque la máxima antes señalada parte de lo personal tiene muy presente el horizonte colectivo del asunto.
Pienso que reflexionar una ética en entornos descentralizados es todo un reto, porque no hay un único modo de hacerlo, lo que lo hace algo aún más difícil. Carecer de las jerarquías habituales nos invita a repensar no solo en la mejor ética posible partiendo de lo individual en relación el colectivo sino como crear espacios edificantes a partir del diálogo y acuerdos. Hay que tener presente que estamos frente a un entorno que no se nos ha presentado antes, esto lo digo no solo por su forma porque caeríamos solo en lo técnico, sino que en lo filosófico.
Con la adaptación del imperativo no pretendo contener una verdad única o absoluta como ya lo he mencionado, sino que me gustaría únicamente proporcionar espacios para seguir dudando y cuestionando lo que tenemos frente, además de por qué hacemos lo que hacemos, o pensamos lo que pensamos. No se si lo he dicho antes, no soy mucho de imperativos, personalmente he interiorizado un par de críticas al imperativo categórico kantiano y al imperativo de Hans Jonas, pero, no por ello habría que ignorar su valor como recurso en la edificación de lo ético.
¿Estamos frente a algo completamente nuevo?
Creo que si, mas no por ello debemos quedarnos en el quietismo de esperar deslumbramientos pseudomágicos en el deseo de edificar una ética en descentralización, sino que debemos partir de lo que tenemos, tomar lo que nos puede funcionar y explorar lo humano en la blockchain, tanto dentro como fuera de la red.
Siguiendo la idea de hacer unico y exclusivamente cosas edificantes habrá que mencionar quizá la más edificante de todas. El Power Up, y ahora que en pocas horas ya es 1ro de noviembre, y que como inicio de mes se promueve esta práctica. Un ejercicio no solo de potenciar nuestras cuentas personales o aumentar nuestra riqueza en activos de la red Hive, sino de aumentar las condiciones de posibilidad personal de participar en la gobernanza, sino que lo creo más importante es que edificamos el horizonte de posibilidad necesario para que se pueda edificar una ética en descentralización.

PD: estaré explorando otras éticas de modo que pueda rescatar ideas que puedan ser de utilidad en este trabajo de pensar y construir una ética en descentralición, me disculpo quizá por no profundizar como es debido en el asunto y quedarme en lo superficial, pero, más que hacer un manifiesto ético lo que deseo es despertar un genuino interés en reflexionar sobre este asunto que a todos nos compete.

I don't know if I've said this before, but I'm not much of a fan of imperatives. Personally, I have internalized a couple of criticisms of Kant's categorical imperative and Hans Jonas' imperative, but that doesn't mean we should ignore their value as a resource in the construction of ethics. ### Are we facing something completely new? I believe so, but that does not mean we should remain passive, waiting for pseudo-magical revelations in our desire to build an ethic of decentralization. Rather, we must start with what we have, take what works for us, and explore the human aspect of blockchain, both inside and outside the network. Following the idea of doing only and exclusively uplifting things, we should perhaps mention the most uplifting of all.
