¿Todo puede ser un sacramento?
Antes de responder a la pregunta en cuestión me gustaría primero definir de manera muy breve qué es un sacramento. En pocas palabras y quizá hasta parafraseando las definiciones que te encontrarás en el mar de internet, debo decir que un sacramento es algo que puede ser signo o gesto de algo sagrado en el día a día, o entras palabras es eso que puede comunicar de manera misteriosa algo que le trasciende, es decir que está más allá de meramente observable.
Habiéndote topado con una escueta definición, estimado lector, te invito a que puedas hacerte la pregunta nuevamente: “¿Todo puede ser un sacramento?” Como me gusta responder siempre de manera aristotélica debo decir que todo es en potencia un sacramento, pero, el que llegue a serlo dependerá de ciertas características o quizá más bien, de cierto contexto. Por ello no todas las coas son sacramentos en acto.
Por lo que la respuesta a la cuestión de que si todo puede ser un sacramento, la respuesta es sí y no, Pero, quedemos con la definición antes mencionada y con la posibilidad de que las cosas pueden ser sacramentos, por lo que ofrezco un relato personal para ilustrar creo que de buen modo esto de los sacramentos. El domingo pasado, en la zona donde vivo se realizó una actividad donde muchos vecinos se reunieron, pero, eso es irrelevante, lo menciono porque al terminar y de regreso a casa caminé bajo un árbol que no recuerdo como se llama, pero, lo identifico porque hace muchos años mi papa me contó que ese árbol estaba ahí cuando era niño y cuando en la escuela mandaban alguna actividad para la casa en la que debía pegar recortes o algo por el estilo y en casa no había pega, el salía y iba hasta este árbol que les menciono, pues su fruto además de ser comestible desprende una especie de líquido pegajoso y lo usaba para pegar lo que tenía que pegar.
Me pareció una anécdota bastante peculiar y hasta conmovedora, es tierno cuando imaginamos a nuestros padres como podrían haber sido de niños o jóvenes. Por lo que cada vez que paso bajo el árbol pienso en mi papá. Y aquí radica el sacramento, ese árbol para mí es un sacramento, ya que es un signo de algo que le trasciende, pues él me comunica sin pretender hacerlo un relato que me contó mi papá, por lo que me hace pensar en él. El árbol para mi es un signo.
Eso es un sacramento, un signo de algo que trasciende. Las fotos, que vez en esta publicación son del árbol que les menciono, si lo reconoces y sabes su nombre házmelo saber, de igual modo le preguntaré a mi papá.
Personalmente todo el tema de los sacramentos me es interesante porque recuerdo hace muchos años leí un librito que precisamente se lo regalé a mi papá, se llama “Los Sacramentos de la vida” de un teólogo brasileño llamado Leonardo Boff, lo recomiendo un montón.

Last Sunday, there was an event in the area where I live where many neighbors gathered, but that is irrelevant. I mention it because when it was over and I was walking home, I walked under a tree that I don't remember the name of, but I recognize it because many years ago my dad told me that this tree was there when he was a child and when the school sent home an activity that required gluing cutouts or something similar and there was no glue at home, he would go out and go to this tree I mentioned, because its fruit, in addition to being edible, gives off a kind of sticky liquid, and he used it to glue what he had to glue. I found it a rather peculiar and even touching anecdote. It's sweet when we imagine what our parents might have been like as children or young people. So every time I walk under that tree, I think of my dad. And that's where the sacrament lies. That tree is a sacrament to me, because it's a sign of something that transcends it. Without meaning to, it communicates to me a story my dad told me, which makes me think of him. The tree is a sign to me.  That is a sacrament, a sign of something that transcends.
