Ha llegado el día uno del mes, lo que significa que es el momento de hacer PowerUp, por ello se celebra el #PowerUpDay. Pero como persona con ínfulas de eremita y pseudo-ascetico me permito ratos de introspección y reflexión. Y en estos dias de cara al PowerUp de noviembre he venido pensando algunas implicaciones filosóficas del PowerUp.
Lo primero que vino a mi mente fue que más allá de lo técnico el Hive Power viene a ser como una suerte de tokenizacion de la influencia, es básicamente la transformación de la influencia social en un activo tangible con características establecidas y funcionalidades claras.
Simplemente con Hive y mecanismos como el que nos caracteriza cambia el juego por completo, ya no se trata de saber cuánto dinero está dispuesto a gastar en una transacción, sino que lo que importa es el compromiso a largo plazo.
Creo filosóficamente hablando, el aspecto más poderoso del Hive Power es decirle al mundo cuánto se está comprometido con el proyecto a largo plazo, y aunque el compromiso no se puede medir pero si se puede medir el activo que lo representa.
Así que espero pronto seguir con esta reflexión y profundar a medida de lo posible un poco más en estás ideas.

PowerUp (the reversal of influence)
The first day of the month has arrived, which means it's time to PowerUp, hence the celebration of #PowerUpDay. But as someone with pretensions of being a hermit and pseudo-ascetic, I allow myself moments of introspection and reflection. And in the days leading up to November's PowerUp, I've been thinking about some of the philosophical implications of PowerUp.
The first thing that came to mind was that, beyond the technical aspects, Hive Power is a kind of tokenization of influence. It is basically the transformation of social influence into a tangible asset with established characteristics and clear functionalities.
Simply with Hive and mechanisms like the one that characterizes us, it completely changes the game. It is no longer about how much money you are willing to spend on a transaction, but rather what matters is long-term commitment.
Philosophically speaking, I believe the most powerful aspect of Hive Power is telling the world how committed you are to the project in the long term, and although commitment cannot be measured, the asset that represents it can be measured.
So I hope to continue with this reflection soon and delve a little deeper into these ideas as much as possible.
